This is how my carpool sounded today.

" DUDE, did you see when Mrs C did..."

"Dude, no kidding"
"Dude, but then she"
" No Dude that was after"
"DUDE"



ahhhhhhhhhh the joy of having 2 9 year old boys in the car.

Whats worse is that Karissa is in a real Mocking Bird stage. So not only do I get it from them I hear "duuuuuuuuuuuuudddddddeeeeeeeeeeee" from behind me.

I have a long DIS history with DUDE ...

Dude is beyond a part of speech, a phrase ... it's the perfect substitute to "Geez" ... it can be modified by inflection ... you can say DUDE in a sad way, an excited way, a chastising way, an alluring way ... it's a word you can use at church and not regret ... never underestimate the power of DUDE!
