5 in Deluxe Oceanview w/ Veranda, am I crazy!?!

My parents were in one of these rooms with my 3 teenage daughters. (Dh and I had snoring ds in the other.) It was fine. Particularly if the kids are the type to be out and about the whole time, or if they will sleep late while you are getting up and about. The biggest issue, besides bathroom primping time, is storage and access to it. With all the beds out, it was hard to get to all the storage areas for clothes, etc. On the Wonder, the clothes "dresser" at the end of the room was actually a trunk with a swinging door that opened. With the murphy bed down, it was completely inaccessible. The Magic had a traditional dresser with drawers, so at least the top 2 drawers could open with the bed down. And there is precious little flat top desk-like space for everyone. Consider bringing alternate storage capability, like shoe hangers for in the closet, etc.

The Wonder has replaced her steamer trunks

Yes, IMHO, I think you are crazy. :crazy2: What you should do is book 2 adjoining OV rooms. It may be less expensive and it will give you more space and 1 additional bathroom

MUN
Well, it's $2,500 more for two OV than 1 deluxe family.

I think it depends on your family and only you can answer that ;)
If this was my family, I know we could do it and we would be fine. But my good friends have 3 kids and they would never ever cruise unless they had a big suite or 2 rooms. Even at WDW they only stay in DVC type suites. Even though they could stay at Riverside or Caribbean or something, but they know they can't do one room. It's the way they like to travel.

We have 3 younger kids and always do 2 rooms, even at the parks (we do a DVC suite or a suite at an offsite hotel). We spent 1 night in a studio (tacked on an extra day) and it was way too small. We like to camp, so it's not that we aren't used to small spaces, but anything building wise we really need to not be on top of each other. Have you priced out 2 insides?

You should be good - we have done with 3 teenagers. Tip if guys want they can go to Spa/ health club to shave / shower to ease bathroom rotation when getting ready for dinner.

Shmoo, that's fast. We were just on the Wonder in December.
Maybe it's different in different rooms. That picture (the first one) was taken on our Oct 2015 cruise. Did your room have a single steamer trunk or a double one?

Single I think. It looked just like your picture. It was basically impossible to get inside it once the murphy bed was down. You could snake a skinny arm in there and dig around blindly.

We never had a room with a Murphy bed on the Magic or Wonder, but the steamer trunk was basically at the foot of the queen bed in all our 9A, B, & C rooms. What category had the Murphy bed?

I just booked a 7 night cruise for my wife and me, our two teenage children 18 and 19, and our little girl.
Am I crazy? Will it be miserable having 5 people in the one 300' room?
I figure any sleeping arrangements on a DCL cruise is better than on land and all of the kids will get their own beds.
Somebody please tell me we'll be okay :D :)

The rooms really are pretty big, and the pull down murphy bed will only be down at night as well as the top bunk. The room feels very spacious and the 2 bathrooms make a big difference. I think you will be happy.
