5 in BCV Studio

Me, my wife and 3 girls ages 9/7/4 for 5 days. I know, I know it's going to be tight. Just hate to borrow against next year's points. ALSO THIS WAS MY WIFE'S idea, maybe the most important detail.

Does anyone have actual experience with this and if so how did it go? I know many will chime in and say they would never do it....I get that already. Curious for any advice/counsel from someone that has? Or maybe no one ever made it out alive

If it helps, we are Disney troopers and been there a bunch of times. Usually with my mother and in AOA fam suite, but not this time.

I think parents and 3 dear girls could make it happen. I'm senior citizen, no first hand experience, but at BVC I would be willing to try it. Generally speaking, do the girls all get along? Will they take turns in the pull down bed? Frankly, I do not think the 5 of you will have table time at one time.

Either you'll enjoy it, or decide never again. I know when we were raising our sons, now 39 & 42, that's how we frequently looked back on our trips!

We just did 4 days split between BWV and VWL with 3 boys - 15, 13 and 9. We have no problem doing a hotel room together, and have no problem with studios. We don't spend a lot of time in the room. =)

I don't see it as an issue at all. In fact we continue, or rather I continue to book studios, because it is just that. (A great way to save points) & the fact that a few of the Villas now can accommodate 5 helps this. You should be fine, as long as most of your time is around the pool, or at the parks....

We love BCV and I think it will be fine. However when I am at one of my favorite resorts, I am not in the room much. We always have 3 of us. Me, my husband and my daughter 14. Alot of times my older daughter will tag along for a night or I will bring my little granddaughter along. We have had 5 plenty of times so I say yes, give it a try.

Depends on your family. Do yall usually do one room for the five or do you get connecting room? Are two of the kids ok sharing a bed? If so, you should be fine - the kids are young. As long as you and your wife are able to keep your sanity with no separate downtime - all should be good!

I've stayed in a studio with our family of 5. It worked out fine for us. We're staying in a BWV studio next month. I didn't want to use up to many points. Before buying DVC we stayed in one regular room, so it's not a big deal for us.

My brother has four children who are now adults, but when they were young they traveled with them all the time. And now they have 13 grandchildren. The all take a trip with their adult children and grandchildren once each year and the kids have to share rooms, sometimes the parents and the 3 or 4 kids share a room. It works out most of the time. But sometimes kids will be kids. Just keep reminding your kids that it is a special treat to be at WDW for this extra trip.

I remember traveling with my DB, DSIL and the four kids and it worked most of the time. It worked best when they made sure the kids got enough sleep and they were not always getting them out of bed at 7:00 am. because invariably they were up late at night. If you do an early mornings or late nights, naps are needed. So break during the day at the resort, go swimming at the resort pool, check out the Community Hall or the activities at the resort for the kids. And do not do a commando trip.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. We stayed at the Poly in a studio with me, my wife, and our three 14 yo's without a problem.

During Hurricane Matthew, our friends who live in Florida came to stay with us at BCV (figuring Disney was safer than most anywhere). We had 4 adults and a 7 year old in the BCV studio. There definitely wasn't much room to move, especially when both the sofa bed and the pull down were open. If you're not spending much time in the room and everyone gets along I think you will be ok. Just hope no one snores!

We could never do it for several reasons, one big one being the snoring factor. (DH!)
