5 in a room?

Hi all-we bought into DVC in dec and it suited us as a 2 adult 2 children family,the good news since then is we have another on the way to introduce to our disney lifestyle
We would have probably been looking at a few nights at SSR then onto Vero Beach for our next hols,am i correct in thinking we will no longer be able to book just a studio or a 1 bed vacation home for our needs.
The 2 bed vacation home sleeps 8 and would maybe exceed our needs and cost alot of points just to sleep the 5 of us?

Congratulations!

A studio and a 1-bed allow for four people plus a child under 3yrs in the travel cot provided, so you have a few years ahead of you before you'd be required to book something bigger (although you may fancy some extra space sooner than that)!

That's right, AKV is the only DVC resort where 5 can be booked into a 1 bedroom and everyone is provided with a bed, bed linen and towels. Member Services will currently book five people, of any age, into one bedroom units at the other DVC resorts, but do not provide extra towels (though you can buy extra for about $6) or bed linens. And as there are no cots or rollaways at DVC resorts, you will need to provide a sleeping bag or air mattress for child number 3.

So you're fine in the studios for the next three years, and then you can move up to a one bedroom

We have booked 5 into a 1 bed several times (and 9 into a 2 bed). We find that the king size bed in the main bedroom is plenty big enough to sleep 3 children (we have had 3 teenage boys - aged 16,17,19 - sleeping in it for a week on one occasion) and all we did was take one extra towel from home.

I like to stretch my points as far as they will go and consequently we did not want to book a 2 bed apartment if we could manage with a 1 bed. We found the 1 bed plenty big enough for our needs.
