We (age 29 and 32, no kids) just spent 5 night (May 28-June 2) in a studio at Beach Club Villas (our new DVC home). We were joined for dining by my sister and her boyfriend (24 and 27). no kids in the picture on this trip. Here is where we ate (sit down only):

Boma dinner: FANTASTIC! This was our second time there and it lived up to expectations again. Had 8:00 p.m. PS - the place was packed but we were seated within 5 minutes. We have vowed to make this a must do on every trip to Orlando. The food and the service are simply wonderful. We almost went back a second night. Particularly good was the carved sirloin with mustard sauce, the curry salmon, all of the soups, and all of the deserts (Zebra domes are my favorite, my sister and husband liked the pineapple cheesecake). A+++

Coral Reef lunch: We had a 12:00 p.m. PS - the earliest you can get. We were seated in a lower level booth facing the aquarium. We were about 10 minutes late and were seated within 5 minutes or so. Very friendly service. We ordered the mussels off the special menu which were fantastic - the best thing we had there, and a bargain at $7.99. We enjoyed the lobster bisque, but it was a tad too creamy/heavy for my liking. I shared the Mahi Mahi with my sister and we were very disappointed. The fish was cooked well, but the sauce/dish was very very bland - no taste. I tasted the catfish which was much better. My husband had the fish sandwich that he thought was OK. I thought that the prices were reasonable for fish and the atmosphere is beautiful. Overall I rate the experience a B+. Lunch for 4, no alcohol, was $90 with tax and tip. I would go back, but won't necessarily make a point to, as it is kind of a "been there, done that" experience.

Kona Cafe dinner: Seated right away at 6:15 p.m., friendly service. My husband had chicken vegetable stirfry, which he thought was pretty good. I had the scallops and tempura shrimp. I thought it was decent, but not great. The "tempura" shrimp is misleading - its really just fried shrimp, which I don't like as much. I had the special soup - coconut curry Thai soup, which I liked very much. My sister and her boyfriend were very happy with their meals - they both ordered seafood options. For desert, we all split the Ko Ko Puff, which was huge and delicious - I highly recommend it! Overall, I rate the experience there a B for atmosphere and an A- for overall food (but a B- for my entree only). It was $100 for the 4 of us with tax and tip - no alcohol ordered. I would return here, but do not consider it a "must do."

Notable deserts: The No Way Jose sundae from Beaches and Cream is amazing!! We also did a "desert" tour of Epcot which included the chocolate crepe from France (only OK), the Yaki Gori (rainbow and cherry flavors) - a definite "A", and the rice cream from Norway, which my sister and I liked a lot.

Earl of Sandwich note: While not a "sit down" service experience, we were very impressed with the Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney. Its at the end of the Marketplace near the pin store. Good sandwiches and very good value.

For those of you going to Universal Studios, I would highly recommend O'Briens' Pub (right near the new Mummy ride) as a great place to get out of the heat and enjoy some good food.
