I need some ideas for a $5 (girl) gift that she needs to have for their Christmas exchange at her school. It would be for a 4-5yo girl. $5 is just not alot for a gift, and I want to get something decent! If you'd share your ideas/thoughts, I'd greatly appreciate it! :goodvibes

Happy holidays!!

See if you can find one of the Christmas or winter Polly Pockets.

Playdough, a barbie outfit, smackers lip gloss, a book, some art supplies.

There's lots of things for little girls. Go to a dollar store and buy 5 things.
Do you have a Target - there's a great dollar section.

Hair accessories, like a little set of barrettes/ponytail holders. A book.
You can get one of the more plain My Little Ponies for about $5.00, I think. Also some little Polly Pocket sets might be that inexpensive (Just the doll and a couple of item of clothing.)

Hmm, that's all I can come up with right now. I remember those days. It is hard to find something for only $5.00.

KB Toys has those large velvet art posters with a set of markers for $4.99.

Denae

I was also going to suggest the My Little Pony. That's what we got this year.

They also have 24 piece puzzles for less than $5. DD got one last year in her school exchange and she was excited, but she loves puzzles. :)

Anyone with a $5.00 gender free Kindergarten idea?

How about a craft kit. Crayons, sitckers, construction paper, scissors, coloring books. Put them all together and its bound to keep any kid busy.

Deanna :bored: :cat:

Michael's has sand art, some paint art sets and pom pon sets on sale for 5 through saturday. My daughter (6) loves these and has since she was about 4. Some of them are gender neutral too. The sand art we got is zoo animals.

Holly

Beanie babies, playdoh, cookie mix & cookie cutters, watercolor set & art paper, glitter glue, playground ball.

I just got a really nice Christmas book at Borders for $4.99. It's for my daughter's first grade Secret Santa swap.

Ok, don't laugh, get a couple boxes of character band-aids. My SIL did this one year for all the grandkids, the oldest was about 6 at the time kind of as a joke (they were pretty broke that year) and all the kids LOVED them. My kids would only use them for "special" owies :confused3 . DD had her box for about 4 years. Weird, but heck they loved them.

I'd probably do a book, puzzle, yo-yo, ball or some sort of art supplies or small science project kit. I was just at Target this morning and they had these little kits for $4.99 with different activities. One was "grow a pet" (kind of like a small chia pet), one was some kind of grow-a-fish thing, one was balloon animals. I can't remember now what they were called, but they were hanging on hooks near the play-doh and easy-bake oven stuff.

How about a puzzle and a book? Some art supplies.

I bought a book and a puzzle for DS and DD's exchanges, that's what we were told to get.

If you have a Five Below store nearby I would suggest to check that store out. They got some really nice stuff there all below $5.00
