They came past our houses and broke in through the front doors. For some reason, my husband had left his racing bike in our garage instead of hanging it in the basement as we had agreed to do the last time they(I have other words I be banned for describing these ground crawlers) broke in and stole all our bikes. So his competitive bike is gone and it's a big loss. All our neighbors were hit as well. Twits!

Oh my goodness! I hope that they catch the people who did it. This kind of stuff makes me so mad!

Do you have a home alarm? It sounds like since this is the second time that it has happened, you really do NEED one. I would get one with cameras too.

So sorry. Since this is not the first time this has happened to you have you thought about some sort of security system? We were getting our cars broken into while they were in the driveway (neighborhood punk kids) and dh put up a very obvious camera and it stopped. Maybe all you need is the illusion of security.

Wow that really stinks! Is your garage attached to your house or is it a detached garaage? Either way it sounds like it is def time for a security system or an upgrade to the one you already have

When we first moved into our neighborhood, my boyfriend had a trailer hooked to our truck with 10's of thousands of dollars worth of tools. After he got laid off, he decided to unload the tools from the trailer into our shop. He picked a good day to do it. That next day, someone used a bolt cutter, because our padlock was laying on the ground behind the trailer. :scared1:

Bet they were ticked to find it empty:snooty:

But...scary when it's in your own driveway!!

That's scary! I'm sorry he lost his bike, thats awful.

Are they breaking into your house while you are there and just accessing the garage? That's so scary. I would get an alarm and camera and a REALLY big dog. Make that two really big dogs!

I hope they catch them! Sorry again about the bike I know how expensive they can be.

Well, it is a PITA and a loss, but your homeowner's insurance should cover the bike. For something that valuable, it is worthwhile to submit a claim.

Yeah, we have an alarm pad and signs up but no connection. I'm allergic to dogs or I'd go get a couple really nice dogs from the pound-I love em but I'm really miserable around their dander. We just discovered that they broke into my husband's work van and his small pkup truck as well. Broken locks and minor theft(change, a compass, a couple of CD's). He doesn't leave stuff in them
