5 for 3?

Are they having this again this year? When we went in 2009 they had this and it was great to have the extra couple of days so we didn't have to rush around as much. I saw a travel agency sign today that was advertising the 5 for 3 so I know it is available on some level but we are not going through a pre-packaged deal and are just waiting it out a week or two longer to see if there is going to be a 5 for 3.....SO....IS THERE?

But when it comes out surely it will be the first thing you see on DL.com too.

I saw a billboard for 5 for 3 with Alaska Airlines package when I was in Oregon 2 days ago. Not sure if it was an old promo that never got taken down or if it's new...

It's not old...if you go to their website they are currently offering it if you a book package through them.

Hopefully this means Disney will offer it soon. I already have my hotel and flights figured out so I have no desire to book a package through Alaska Airlines.

I say they give it to just those disers and we won't say a word I however am not hopeful as at this point in 2009 they had the deal out well in advance and it was out by Feb/March. I also only paid $179 per adult and $149 per kid (total $656) which I thought was great. Now two years later a 5 day pass is an extra $32 per adult and $37 per child for a family of four this is an extra $138 and total of $794. Why do they inflate their prices by close to 17% and then not at least throw us a 5 for 3 deal? Also not sure why the child prices are going up more than adults and don't like to see inflation of any sort as I am reminded everytime I fill up.....Am I being cheap......You bet......Would a 5 for 3 deal make me feel better..... Going to spend more if we are there 5 days vs 3 anyways....Do something Peter Pan

Disney World is getting their next promotion announcement on Monday, so maybe Disneyland too.

My guess is they are waiting to have the new ads ready using the Mickey Soundsational Parade info we all saw on here last week...

I called in to the ticket line and they said they don't hear anything until the moment these types of deals are released. Based on how she said it I am now fairly certain that there won't be a 5 for 3 this year. Regarding the prices creeping up over the past few years she said that they survey other comparable entertainment in the area and adjust their pricing accordingly. I guess I will play a game of chicken for the next few weeks and leave this as one of my final pieces of the puzzle to pay off before our trip. The DIS stock price is up over 16% in the last year so I guess the 17% extra I will likely end up paying is helping the bottom line. I better buy more shares so I can hedge this

I agree, I have been doing well with Disney for many years.

That's a good point. Summer Nightastic might have the next ticket deal wrapped into it and they need Summer material to place in it.

imo, no 5 for 3 promo this summer. they will probably use new attractions to justify full price. heck, they did away with b day and volunteer promo so wont b surprised with no 5 for 3

The birthday and volunteer promos were not meant to be permanent or even recurring promotions and were always advertised as being limited.

In the past few years the 5 for 3 promo was for hotels as well as tickets.

REgarding Alaska Airlines: I already had my airfare booked on Alaska. So i called, and since I already had plane tickets with them, they could give me a hotel and ticket package.

They are actually doing tickets for the same price for 3, 4, 5, or 6 day hoppers. I asked for a 5, and she told me she would do 6 b/c it was teh same price.

However, when all was said and done, the hotel price was so inflated (same hotel, same rooms) that their package deal was more expensive than just keeping my hotel reservation and buying full priced disney admission.

So, there you go.
