Great Trip Report - Thanks for Sharing.

I love Crystal Palace too, in fact DH is trying to get me to try something new this trip and I just don't know if I can do it!

I love to participate in the Napkin Parade!

Best Wishes!

Hahaha, I loved the napkin parade too! They also did this at Chef Mickey's! Lots of fun, feels like you are in the middle of a cartoon with all that character interaction!

Thanks for the details - especially about the spicy food at Boma. After hearing all your stories, I think I will purchase a few more pairs of shorts in the next size up for the end of the vacation. I hope all the walking negates the calories!!!!

The walking definitely helps!

I usually follow Weight Watchers maintenance plan, and was really worried about gaining weight and my clothes not fitting after this vacation. Even though we were at WDW for 5 nights, the whole trip was 2 weeks! We drove down from NY and took our time, went first to Boca Raton for 4 nights to visit some relatives and friends, and then did the 5 days at Disney, then took our time driving back up and spent a couple of days in Maryland visiting some of my old college friends. So I was panicking for literally weeks before this trip about weight gain!

What I did was this...on the drive down I ate as well as I could. I still enjoyed myself but kept telling myself that the Disney food would be my real treat on this trip. I did all right in Boca, making choices at restaurants that were basically *lesser of the evils*. We also stayed at Embassy Suites in Boca, so I would wake up at 6AM when everyone else was still sleeping, and I had brought along a few of my workout DVDs I normally do, and would use the portable DVD player to do that early in the morning before breakfast. I did this 3 mornings. It made me feel better. Plus, we did a ton of walking at WDW. But once we got to WDW I totally lost it with the food! It was so good I couldn't help myself! But I am happy to say that when I left for this trip, I told myself that I will be extremely happy if I only gain 5 pounds in 2 weeks. I weighed myself the morning after we got back (my usual weigh-in time), and was happy to see a 4 and a half pound weight gain. We got back on Monday afternoon, I weighed myself on Tuesday. Here it is, Friday and I weighed myself this morning and already 3 pounds of the gain were gone! So now I feel much better!

I was worried because even though I normally watch what I eat, I love food! And I usually let go on vacation. Our last cruise, I knew we were trying to get pregnant (it was 2 years ago), so I let go way too much and gained 9 pounds in 8 days! Needless to say that's what made me worry this time! But I pulled through fine! So will everyone else! My biggest fear was my shorts not fitting at the end of the trip and everythin fits just fine!

I didn't get to try the strawberry soup, but DH did and loved it! Yes those little chocolate mousse cups were delicious!

This was a trip of great fun and great eating! Just want everyone to know...don't listen to people who say not to focus at all on the food at Disney. You could do both...focus on food AND fun, which is exactly what we did and it was a nice mix! Granted, only 5 days of our 2 week trip was at Disney, but I definitely did the most eating there out of anywhere and totally forgot about watching my diet. I came home and I had gained 4 and a half pounds...most of which I attribute to the great food at Disney because I stuffed my face there! Totally worth it and I thought the weight gain would be more than that so I was actually pleasantly surprised...I was hoping for no more than 5 pounds but was expecting more like 7 or 8 pounds with the amount I ate! Guess all that walking does help a lot! ;)

We were also stuck in HS during that huge rain storm! I wish we had left before it began but no such luck. I was really bummed this was our only day at HS and I really wanted to see the new parade! I don't think they did it that day since it rained so much.:confused3

Don't know if they did the parade or not. We did none of the parades! OUr kids are really little, and we knew they would be more interested in other things. Plus we left the parks by 2PM the latest each day, except our first day when we arrived at MK after lunch. That day we chose to do attractions during the afternoon parade and got to see Mickey's Philharmagic and go on Pirates. Saw more than we thought we would that day! We did get to see fireworks every night from our room in the 50s section of Pop Century! DS3 loved that! We would get into our PJs just before 9PM (or earlier if we were back already from dinner and attractions), and watch together by the window every night. It was so much fun!

We plan to go back in 3 years. They will be 4 and 6. We plan on a longer visit that time, at least 7 nights, probably more like 9 or 10. Would like to go to a park every other day, or at least have 2 days straight at parks, one day off to relax, go to the pool, etc. Then I think I would go back for the night parade at MK and Wishes. Would be much more feasible if the following day was a non-park day!

We have gone now two years in a row and both years were comando see it all trips. We didn't have much time for relaxing or days off. We did do a half a day at TL this past trip but I would have loved to do more days there! I love that water park!

I wish we could go back sooner, but no luck talking DH into it, and he is stubborn and has made up his mind that we will go back in 3 years and not any sooner!

Originally we were going to go back in 2 years with my sister and her girls, but while we were there DH said no, not for another 3 years so that when our little one goes he will be tall enough to go on the same rides as the older one. They will be 4 and 6 then, and he is hoping both of them will go on Big Thunder Mountain RR, Test Track, Soarin', etc. I did remind him that there is also a chance they will not want to ride one, some or all of those!

Anyway, I do know that next time will be a longer trip. First we were thinking of deluxe or mod resort, but I do know I would prefer a longer trip at Pop Century again over a shorter trip in a more expensive resort any day! So it looks like it will be Pop again, maybe I could get him to stay 10 nights, LOL! ;)
