5 day tix but only 4 day DDP?

I have a 4 night/5 day DDP package booked. 5 day base tickets. On my ressie its saying that I only have 4 days of DDP.
I thought it went by park days, not hotel night stays.
Please explain to me if this is correct. And, is it a.)possible to expand the DDP to 5 day and b.)worth it? We'll be arriving by mid after noon, so one sit down and one qs or snack would be likely.

Nope, it goes by nights of stay. It has absolutely nothing to do with your park tickets or how many days you spend in the parks. Annual pass holders, the military, and people staying on DVC points can buy ticketless pkgs and don't even have to buy park tickets at all to add the DDPs. Some people don't even bother going to the parks at all. I know we always have at least a couple of days that we don't go to a park. If you are not an AP holder, using military tickets, or staying on DVC points, all that is required to buy the DDP is the purchase of a one day ticket for everyone in the room (a two day ticket if on the free DDP). The DDP must be purchased for the length of your stay.

If you are there four nights/five days, you have four nights of the DDP. However, you can use those credits until midnight of the fifth day. That means that if you are on the basic DDP you have 4 TS 4 CS and 4 snack credits to use. If you are on the DxDDP you have 12 meals credits that can be used for either CS or TS meals and 8 snacks. If you are like us and take the first flight in and the last flight out, you may have to pay for a meal or two OOP (or else you can share a few meals or use snack credits for a meal or two to stretch your meal credits).

so, do my dining credits begin when i check in, or the next day? obviously we'll have to purchase oop at some point but thats fine. i'm trying to fugure what the better value is, oop qs bkfst or oop qs dinner.

Your credits are active from the moment you check in until midnight following your check out.

In general, using credits on dinner and paying OOP for breakfast is the better deal.
