Looking for some help in trying to make this decision. We are staying at CBR mid may for 7 nights. We won't be arriving to the resort until close to 6pm first night and leaving early on check out day.

Trying to decide whether to go with 5 Day PHP or 6 Day. we also plan to do a day at Seaworld over the course of the 6 days. I have a 4 and 5 year old. I'm thinking of going with the Hopper Plus instead of just Hopper because I'd like to go to Downtown Disney to eat one night and walk around. Not sure if I would go to the water parks or not, maybe once.

What would you do?

I'm in a similar dilemma...I know that only the pleasure island part of downtown disney is the part you have to use your "ticket or pass". On some nights they let you in to "Browse" before charging - especiall for the kids. I don't know if that'll be an option when you're there. Also if you're not wanting to go into the clubs or the water parks - you really don't need the plus options. There is still plenty to do without going to the clubs. :) My dd and I were lucky enough to visit on a night when it was open house and we got to go dancing and visit everywhere. However, even though she really liked the live bands and the surfers dance club we didn't really stay and hang out (she was only 6.5 then and it was early). She's dying to go back and see if any of the clubs had changed (and to boogie down) since our last trip so I know I have to plan one night.:) Hope this helps!

I would buy the 5-day hoppers. You do not need a pass to go to Downtown Disney, and I'm sure you won't take children that age to Pleasure Island in the evening. That just leaves waterparks, which you're not planning to do. With one day at Seaworld, you that leaves 5 Disney park days.

Thanks for the advice, I'm sure it will save us some money. So do you mean I can go to Downtown Disney and go to a restaurant and don't need a pass or park hopper to get in?

DTD is open from morning until night with lots of shops and restaurants. These places are open to the public,I would make Priority seating arrangements, and some are really very good. Also try some of the wonderful restaurants on the West Side. You'll find Wolfgang Puck's and Gloria Estefan's restaurant here. If you get PHP tickets you can go to Disney Quest. Kids and adults just love that place and it too is open to the general public.

Double check the last post for PHP and Disney Quest. Last I heard, only the Ultimate PH tickets were for Disney Quest. Just in case that's something you want to do, I'd hate for you to get there and have tickets that won't let you in, and pay another $30 for Disney Quest.

But back to DTD, you don't need tickets for downtown or to eat. It's a great way to spend a day. Definitely go with the 5-day, and maybe not even the "plus". Enjoy your trip!

You are right of course, DQ is not included with the PHP passes. It is included with the 10 World Passes as well at the UPH pass.
Thanks for the quick attention to my mistake.
Marylyn
