We have a room for DH, DD, 9yr. old neice, and myself for our upcoming Poly trip. 20 yr. old son is saying he'd like to fly down to stay a night or two. Can 5 stay in a Poly room legally, with my neice on the daybed and DS on an aerobed? I'm leaning toward getting him a cheap room offsite, but not happy about that, either. Not worried about the comfort factor, just the rules for Poly rooms.

The rooms at the Polynesian have occupancy for 5, because of the day bed. You will have to pay an additional $25 per night for the 3rd adult, anyone over 18.

The rooms will be large enough you may have to set up a schedule for the bath though with 5 in the room.

Just curious, why not put the DD and niece in the queen bed and son on the day bed and eliminate the air bed?

Didn't think 20 yr. old would fit in the daybed. He is pretty small tho.

The Poly day bed is the same size as a twin bed. My DS chose to sleep in that last summer over the queen as he was able to fall asleep watching the colors change on the castle :)

I don't think you'll have any problem with the five of you in the Poly room.

Like the others said, you have two queen beds plus a twin-sized daybed.

Sounds like having your whole gang together for those few days would be lots easier and more fun that finding a room offsite for DS, and then having to coordinate meeting up together!

I agree with everyone...you'll have plenty of room and your son will be fine on the daybed. We're a family of five and have stayed there many times. You'll love it!

Several of the resorts sleep 5 in a room with 2 queen beds and 1 day bed and you can have a 6th person in the room if they are under 3.
I havent stayed at the Poly but stayed YC concierge last Sept and our room was great and any of the adults could fit fine on the daybed. In fact it was quite comfy.

I slept on the Poly daybed when we took our nieces a few years back. It was very comfortable. I'm 5'11".

I had no idea...thanks everyone!

Just wanted to add my dh slept on the daybed at the poly a couple of nights when our dd wanted to sleep with me and he is 270lbs and 6'4 and he said it was very confortable. as for as the extra adult they charged us $25.00 a night to have a third adult in the room
