our ninth anniversary

seems like an accomplishment these days in this country...divorce just seems to run too rampant

anyway, we were happy. Our plan was to hit boatwrights for breakfast as I had planned on that stuffed french toast for months leading up to the trip. nice calm stroll over to POR and was seated immediately. Ordered the french toast as did my wife. It was AMAZING....SO good....but we could have split one dish as it was ALOT of food for one person. my son had the mickey pancakes and ate better than he did all week. A nice experience there. we actually stayed there years ago when it was dixie landing and never even ate at boatwrights....I would fully recommend the breakfast, thats for sure.

as an anniversary gift I had my wife booked for a pedicure/foot massage and a swedish massage at the grand floridian. She has always wanted both and never has had it dont professionally. Well as the trip got closer, the spa opened at saratoga and since you could get there VERY easily from POFQ, we switched her there...so after breakfast she went to clean up for the spa and my son and I decided to rent a mouse boat from POR. that was a great little half hour together...I even let him steer awhile....he thought that was great....we rode up to key west and back...got some great pics of POFQ along the way. Then we went to the pool at POFQ....we really didnt spend any relax time at the pool. Well, I couldnt get him to go down the slide at first, then I couldnt get him to stop...he went over and over for about an hour with me catching him at the bottom...I had to peel him away from it, but he wanted to see the dream come true parade at MK so we had to get going....we rode in to MK....and ate lunch at tonys....no PS, but got seated no problems. Then we rode the train around the kingdom....my son loves trains. We found a spot outside the confectionary on main street and watched the parade.....first time I saw the parade....we both loved it. I was not the only person running for the door afterwards though...just hoardes of people piling out after the parade and the most popular word at the time was..POOL

but we had other plans....as we were walking to the room, we ran into my wife, who was coming back form the spa...how is THAT for perfect timing.....we all got prettied up....it was time to celebrate 9 years.

we took noah to the neverland club....this was a let down. I had him so pumped up for a themed club, with all the peter pan stuff. when we got there, they were rehabbing the neverland club and just moved the toys and such to a big open room.....no theming, just the games, toys, etc. Bummer....they started this rehab too days earlier. My son didnt seem to care though and he took off to play without giving us a second thought...we were FREE for a few hours.

we went to magic kingdom and got fastpasses for space mtn and then went to ride thunder mtn and splash mtn. Splash was a MUCH longer ride than I remembered....very fun. when we got back to space mtn, it was broken down....we gave our fast passes away and left....we had other plans....and the clouds were getting DARK.

we had an 8:00 PS at the california grill.....so we could have a nice dinner and watch the fireworks up there. I did alot of reading up on this place before we went and advised my wife it was likely we wouldnt get a window seat as people camp there all night waiting for wishes. Well, we get there and check in, I see our name on the list and ANNIVERSARY is highlighted in green....we were IMMEDIATELY taken to our table...right at the window with a full view of MK, grand floridian and the poly.... I was speechless....what a nice surprise. Well, the wait staff just fell all over us...it was a wonderful experience...tried the sushi, tried some flatbreak, both had filets for dinner....everything was excellent. It IS loud there though. Wishes started while we were eating and so did the rain...so we had to watch it thru rain speckled windows....man, rain was really killing my nightly shows....didnt matter....could still see the show and we had SUCH a great seat....plus we didnt have to go out on the observation deck in the rain to watch it. We ordered dessert and before they brought it, they brought a piece of chocolate cake with rasberry sauce drizzled around it.....even came with a chocolate card that said "happy anniversary fromt he california grill"...so we had two desserts....that night my wife was ordering house wines and they kept giving her the expensive stuff for the house prices....just a great experience

jumped on the monorail to get my son....$50 for an entire night in the neverland club and that included his dinner....best $50 I spent all week

we cabbed it to POFQ rather than use disney transportation...much easier

Congrats on your anniversary.

Great report ~ Thanx for sharing.
