Okay, serious business....and I'm going to preface this, because I don't want anyone to laugh at me.
Jay is a blacksmith and a welder. Jeans and t-shirts....
Also, in Cave Creek, no one dresses up for anything. Not for a funeral, not for a wedding....
So: I was reading about Royal Caribbean...and the Explorer, and I've read that not very many men wear tuxes for formal night.
I just recently bought Jay his first (yes....1st) sport coat. He wears long sleeve shirts with a tie, and his tux.....but what does a guy wear with a sport coat?
Long sleeve, short sleeve, tie....???

Hey....I asked you NOT to laugh!

Thought for a moment I'd clicked on the main board - I was gonna have to go get some more popcorn. :rotfl2: ..John usually wears long sleeved oxfords or dress shirts and a tie - Mickey print of course...

Chemical Engineering husband (jeans and flame retardent coveralls) with an aerobics instructor wife - not laughing here...The deal is if he wears his suit - he gets to choose my formal night outfit complete with shoes - he has great taste - shops for my "non-work" clothes because he knows I'd live in t-shirts, shorts and gym shoes if I had a choice- Even though I end up tottering around in 4-in heels and a cocktail dress on formal night, I don't complain because he's in a suit...

Not laughing at the question - just laughing about the heated arguments, dress code questions always seem to bring up...

Depends on how dressy he wants to be - you can wear the sport coat with either a:
Long (or even short) sleeve shirt with a tie - dressy version
Polo/collarless shirt - less dressy version

Is it ever acceptable to wear a short sleeve shirt with a sport coat?

I thought that whole thread was pretty funny........ I was gonna go find some popcorn here at work to eat while I read.......

Some people take themselves way too seriously.........

Sure..... but it obviously becomes quite casual if you take the sport coat off.....

Good point, especially if we are trying to pass it off on "formal night"....
The Johnny Rockets onboard is looking better and better. I'm sick of packing fancy clothes.

:rotfl2: :rotfl: I just read the "Dress Code" thread.....I guess we'd better hole up in our "closet" of a room and order in!
Hey...and ya'll be proud of me...I didn't add my opinion. For once.

I wonder if the pirate: is around?? I'm certain he is......Think I can pull off another one???

Now's my chance.....sneaking up.....moving in for the kill.......counting to 40.....

one one thousand, two one thousand.......

SCORE!

Okay, I'll be going now............................

In light of current events the Pentagon announced today the formation of a new 500 man elite fighting
unit called the US REDNECK SPECIAL FORCES (USRSF).

These North Carolina, Kentucky, West Virginia, Mississippi, Missouri,
Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Texas and Tennessee boys will be dropped into
Iraq and will be given the following facts about the terrorists:

1. The season opened today.
2. There is no limit.
3. They taste just like chicken.
4. They don't like beer, pickups, country music or Jesus.
5. They are DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for the death of Dale Earnhardt.

The mess in Iraq should be over IN A WEEK!

I found a promo poster. http://www.grouchyoldcripple.com/archives/000332.html

About the shuttle launch, there is two things they most worry about outside of the hurricane bearing on them directly.

Upper level winds. If the hurricane even passes near the wesst coast of Fla, it could mess up the upper level winds and ruin their launch vector.

Lightning. Any tstorms flung out will definitely abort it, remember once they fuel the main tank, they now have a hydrogen bomb sitting there on the pad.
