uh oh - I'm alternating between :worried: and :lmao: looks like you might have use of that hotel in Savannah after all!!!

I keep telling her that I was not worried. After all he was in Costa Rica for 7 weeks and we never knew where he was at.

He got in about 10 PM.

Typical male teenager response to why he did not have his phone on....I was with the group and did not need it!:confused3

He was gently reminded about GPS and how my life would have been much easier if I could have shown his mommy where he was located. :lmao:

Jay & I are taking the kids to San Francisco on Thursday. We go up late Thursday, staying at the Fisherman's Wharf to tour around, and come home late Sunday. Jay's idea....said it's for Valentine's Day. :faint:
I think that more than makes up for Mother's Day dinner at Taco Bell.

Can I send Sharon along. She needs something nice for Valentine's Day.

I already got her next tires for Christmas. Can't think of what else she might need. :(

And just to up the ante...

We've booked a last-minute week on the Grand Princess leaving March 17 out of Galveston :cool1: John convinced his parents to extend visit an extra week so we could escape while they stayed with the kids...

We're e-mailing suggestions back and forth...I'm thinking B&B, he counters with a cruise, I suggest a more budget friendly visit to see Stacey and Jay - he's used to my line of thought - the alterior motive - it's spring training and the Cubs play close to Stacey (Even though he'd love to see Stacey a baseball vacation wasn't in his plans...)

The words "If we can't cruise, I don't want to do anything" came out of his mouth!!! So what's a girl to do? Refuse his gift and break the poor man's heart??? :confused3

Best part - no broom closet!!! Guarenteed window category!!! :cool1: Breaking into a bit of sitcom kareoke from the Jeffersons "We're moving on up...."

Costa Maya, Honduras, Belize, and Cozumel! New places to visit!!! :cool1:

OHMouse family, congrats on the new truck!

Stacey, hope you get to feeling better.

Jim, glad Matt made it home safely. Thanks for the info on Savannah.

Monica, have fun on that cruise.

Last night at dinner, I asked Bruce if he'd like to do something for our 10th anniversary. He asked what I had in mind. I told him a long weekend somewhere or a quick, cheap cruise. He said that he'd rather go away with the family. :confused3 Uh ... gee thanks!!! I knew he was not romantic but that takes the cake!!!

Please tell him "Thanks" for me. He makes me look good!!

I got tires for Christmas one year. :( But for our very first Christmas, he gave me floor mats for the car.
I think we must be like Monica....."We're movin' on up...." :rotfl:

Monica, you've trained that guy well! Stacey, not too shabby on your Valentine's Gift either. I think we've talked about floor mats before. I once got them for my birthday or Christmas (can't remember), but that's what I asked for!

We are having our second Valentine's dinner tonight. Wednesday is too busy of a day, and we bought filets at Costco. One package = two meals, so therefore second dinner. Plus, Kevin made enough mushroom risotto yesterday to feed our entire DIS crew. Since you guys are not here, we will be eating it for a while. Good thing it's yummy.

Jim, glad the kid turned up. He's got my cel phone philosophy. When I don't need it, it's often not turned on.

Good Morning All - We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend...

Saturday was Dive Day - Shark Reef and Spud Barge. And it was cold, at least I thought so. The first dive we had food vis for Palm Beach, but not as good as was predicted. There were schools and schools of fish, more than I have seen off Palm Beach before. Yes, we have pictures, and I know I need to post them more. There are schools of small shark off the shore of the beaches, you may have seen the pictures, we do on the news this time of year, but they are not as far off shore as we were diving. The only shark we saw were nurse sharks. (Kevin, Jim, I was proud of my air management this time....)

The seas calmed for the second dive and it was soo neat. Coral, scallaps and all sorts of sea life were growing on the beams inside the barge, it was neat to see it move as you swam through. The scroprian fish was neat.

We were escorted back to shore by a small pod of 8 dolphin. The sun was shining and the day was perfect. Lunch and a beer followed....

Sunday we picked up Mother after church, her choice was the Irish pub, so we did not need to pick up all the dive wear off the porch....And we are always ready to hear to the pub. After we dropped her off we scoped out the new Wine Supermarket....did not buy anything, it was overwhelming. A stop by the whole foods market for dinner and home.

Guess what - no chores, no housework, what a relaxing weekend.

I shall read backwards and see what you all were up to.

Have a Good Monday!

This weekend is just another example of why Sharon is not impressed with my parenting skills.

Matt left Friday for a JROTC competition. He took a bag of clothes and a sleeping bag. He drove the Jeep to school. Took the bus to the competition and will be home tonight.

We don't know where he went. We don't know what time he is coming home. His cell phone is not on.

I hope he comes home soon or I am in trouble. :guilty:

I guess I should have paid attention when I signed all the forms.

Update - did the bus return yet??????

I see it did.....and what lesson did Daddy learn??????

Hi everyone. Things have been really crazy, so I haven't checked in a couple of days.

Karen -- hope you are feeling better. Congrats on the new vehicle.

We started another 3 day swim meet last night. Ashley did fairly well last night, and okay today. She swam the 200 IM in 2:33.11 (taking off two seconds) and then swam the 400 IM in 5:30.29 (taking off 7 seconds). She placed 5th and 3rd respectively. Today she swam the 200 fly, 200 breast, 50 breast and 50 fly. She only had her best time in the 200 breast by 2 seconds. One more day tomorrow (yeah)

My aunt's funeral got pushed to next Saturday, so it looks like i am going to San Diego next week after all. To get a cheap ticket, I am having to leave on Thursday and not get back until noon on Monday. Timing is terrible, since our trip to Florida is only 4 weeks away.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!!

:cheer2: Congrats to Ashley - she is very dedicated in improving her time....

Continued prayers for your family as they face the weekend.

Congrats, Ohminnie! My favorite scent....NEW CAR! Don't tell Jordan, she wants a new truck. Not happening.

My brain isn't working tonight....what's CYA?

The cold that has been hanging around finally made a decision to get worse. I woke up feeling really lousy, and to make matters worse, I must have slept funny, because I think I have a pulled muscle in my back. Hurts to even take a deep breath.
I hope it goes away soon.

Stacey - Hope you are feeling better, if not, please be careful. And maybe go ask someone what is going on......Honest, sometimes when it hurts around the middle, it could be heart related, or so they say.....Virgil, we need an expert here.....

But it is probably just a reaction to your Valentine...

Well, one mystery solved....Who moved the coffee table in the middle of the night and why?

Sam just called, apparently the cat ate something he should not have and.......(ok - insert yucky result here). Sam washed the floor before he went to work...It's Monday all right.

The cat is fine....no trip to vet needed, at least as far as I can tell.

But I now need to go and re-wash the floor to be sure...

Ahhh.......later. :wave2:

But before I go, Congrats.......wheeee...Costa Maya, Honduras, Belize, and Cozumel! New places to visit!!! :cool1:

The Morning U-Top - "Moving on up"....wheeeee....

Here is a question, I am being pressured into going digital......I have done some on-line looking and took a few of the questionaires on types of cameras....(came out the same one twice)....

Suggestions from our digital friends so I can be even more confused.

All I want is a chart - you know - a chart - that translates the film lenses to digital lenses. I can find articles, I can find bits of info, but I want a chart. After that, the same thing on f stops....but can I find it - noo......

Oh well, I hear a floor calling....

There's a question for Kevin or John, Irene....hope one of them shows up.

I'm up early, but don't know how long I'll stay up. I had muscle spasms in my back last night so I didn't sleep well. That was a first for me, it felt more weird than painful.
