I got to use the classic line yesterday. Alicia told me "it hurts when I do this", while pushing on her lower stomach. I replied "so, don't do that!"

Sorry I missed your birthday hope you had a happy one. Your hand sounds like it is bein a real "PAIN". Hopefully no surgery. And whoever said cortisone would help forgets to tell patients how bad it hurts first. Hope it does begin to help you soon. Now listen to Doctor and don't do anything. Remember the house will take of itself, the kids don't need you to run them places and the maid will do laundry, cleaning and cooking. And you can just sit back and relax. My parents would always say "It'll get better before you get married....."

Ok, so NOW what?

Hey... my mom used to say that too!! "You won't feel it the day you get married"... how many times did I hear that.

Funny story... when I was 4, my sister (who was almost 11) 'helped' me down the stairs one day, resulting in me hitting my head on the solid oak front door, rendering me unconscious. For the next 18 years, my sister INSISTED that I tripped over something that was left on the stairs. On my wedding day, we are sitting on my mother's antique bed (which is the bed that my sister and I shared as children), doing the usual bride & matron-of-honor posed photos, and she looks at me and says... "I threw you down the stairs... you weren't moving fast enough."

No, I might not FEEL it the day I got married, but that's when I finally knew the truth!!!

weird. I have an older sister (she's 11 yrs older though) and she inflicted abuse on me too. Once she was babysitting my brother and me and she was sick of our bickering. So she tied my wrists together and tied my hands together and put me on the front porch. She took my brother by the neck and by the seat of the pants and "threw" him up the stairs......

Outcomes:
I tried to get up and get away....and fell down 3 concrete stairs and started screaming.

My brother slid on the hardwood floors into his room and cracked his head on the leg of his bed.

We still give her grief about it to this day!

All of these stories might start explaining alot!

I have an older brother, a big guy. When Mom would go shopping he would kick me out of the house. I would sit on the front step, rain or shine, summer or winter, until she came home.

When I was in my mid 20's we were all at my parents house. For some strange reason I turned and decked my brother. He asked "why"? My response "for all the c***** you did to me growing up". I felt great!

I'm off to some meetings this morning in Ocala. Matt is coming with me and bring scuba tanks. He thinks that just because we are going to be within 5 miles of Paradise Springs we might get some diving in!

29 days until Jamaica celebration of best friends marriage;
59 days until Montana, horses and pup tents;
29 days until the Turks and Caicos and snorkeling;
59 days until my first Necton Cruise with DH.

Sam heard about a new 6 person dive charter out of West Palm...

So Jim and Kevin, could we get a group together. After all, Alicia and Diana needs to come to Fla. to check out colleges sometime.....

It was a thought!!!!

No mid-life crisis for me yet....Not crazy enough yet!

The hand specialist gave me a shot of cortisone in the wrist yesterday and it hurt like mad last night. Not quite so bad today, but I'm not supposed to be using it, so you didn't see me here. Just wanted to report in.
We'll give the cortisone a month, and if I don't have relief, we'll look at other options, like surgery.

Paradise Springs is a commercially operated dive site. This is an advanced (cavern and cave) dive, so open water divers should limit their depth to 60 feet while those with cavern and cave training are welcome to go further. The maximum depth at Paradise Springs is 140 feet. At best the whole spring should be considered to be a cavern dive and you should be appropriately trained for an overhead environment. Anything below 100 feet is absolutely a cave dive and should not be attempted without the correct training, equipment, and gas mix. You need lights throughout the dive. This is a nice dive with visibility often being excellent, although you should arrive early or during a weekday to avoid the crowd. Depths can reach 140ft, though it really starts to get silty past 100 feet where a warning sign is posted.

And my wrist is feeling pretty good. It still hurts more than it did before the shot, but I'm hoping in the long run it will be worth it. As long as I'm careful with it at Disneyland, I should be good to go!!

Today's first appointment went well. The second appointment went even better. Matt and I were the only ones at the Spring. Vis was excellant. Water was cold, but I wore the wetsuit. It was time for a little training.

Now I'm off to a dinner meeting at the Ocean.

My little sister moved to Phoenix, AZ this week. She drove from VA to AZ by her crazy self, but she is there safe and sound. Her apt does not have electricity till tomorrow so she will be in the dark tonight, sleeping on the floor since she can't use her air mattress(no ele=no pump). She's near Camelback Rd, is that a decent part of town? We (the kids and myself) maybe going out there to visit her this summer. She's the only one in my family to move out of VA so far. I miss her already.
