Would you be interested in being the go to person for the 2nd group? I set up the FB page and you can look at the files of how we have our list of people set up. . . . I am SO excited for this cruise and I bet there will be more people getting on here soon. . .

Thanks so much!! I looked through some of the posts on the FB page. I am even more excited now!!! This is going to be terrific! I noticed there are a couple of people who want to also join the 2nd group.

I would be willing to be the go to person for group 2. Do you think I should start a separate FB page and thread though so we don't get too confused?

I think it would be awesome for us all to be on the same FB page. . . In the files section you can make a separate FILE for Group 2. . . How fun!!

That way some of the Group 1 people can maybe join as well. .

Just make sure to have everyone include how many people, room # & names/ages of those participating.

Our family will also be sailing on this cruise. It will be my DW and DD (3 years old). We will also be sailing with my parents, AKA the babysitters! This will be our 3rd Disney cruise, just got off the Disney Magic over Thanksgiving.

I will be on FB tonight, sorry I do not have the ability to get on with my phone or at work. .

We are getting so much interest on the FE, I love it. . and on a short cruise too. . . . I LOVE DISNEY. . .

Only 5 more months, and that is nothing compared to when I booked it 15 months out. .

We are going to pass on the FE, can't get the DW interested enough! Perhaps when our DD gets a bit older we'll start. But love sharing ideas and info. The FB group was a huge hit from our Magic cruise because the Magic had a lot of issues out of Dry Dock, so we were all sharing anything we learned back and forth.

I should elaborate that I am on the cruise with you guys. I work full-time and have a toddler, and don't have as much time to peruse the boards like I did before DS came along! I try to keep up with this thread, and although it's not very active, I do miss a lot of updates. I think I read something about fish extenders somewhere (this thread, or another) but don't really understand what it is. Is this like the Meet & Mingle that happens on Royal Caribbean cruises? (Through Cruise Critic?) I've been on 8 Royal Caribbean cruises, so I am familiar with what M&Ms are! (Although, I have never participated in them)

This is our first Disney cruise and very interested in FE. I just found out about FE's this morning and my kids don't know about the cruise yet so I have to keep my excitement to myself I will just add the kids travelling with us. I just need to know what I have to do and how it all works since it is all new to me.

Hello All...

As stated in an earlier post, I just booked my cruise for May 18. This is our second cruise and we LOVED the Disney experience, especially the fish extender (FE) that other cruisers do. I have not been accepted to the Facebook page so I thought I would ask to see if anyone is not in a FE group already. Or, if you are already in a group and want another one, let me know. I have the template from my last cruise and can set up another one.

If you have not participated in a FE group before, this is what it is. We get a group of people together that would like to exchange gifts. You can give gifts to everyone or just to the kids. The gifts can be bought or handmade. Some people will give special gifts to people who are celebrating special events. Your door will have a "hanger" beside it. Some are fish while others are seahorses, etc. You hang something on your door for people to place your gifts in. If you google, fish extenders you will see a variety of them. Some people just hang bags.

For example:

My family consists of two families in two rooms but we only use one room for the FE, which is 10648. We have two celebrations. People can choose to give gifts to everyone individually. To the adults as a couple, and the kids individually. To the families as a group. In any combination and the ones who are celebrating a special gift. I personally do couple gifts, kid gifts, and celebration gifts.

My son is 18 and I wanted to know about the 18 to 20 group. What time does it usually meet the first day? I don't want him to miss it. I also don't want him to feel like he has to hang out with me all the time. He's very social and makes friends easily. Thanks
