5/15/2011 - Disney Dream 4nt Bahamas - May 15, 2011

Okay, did anyone not get a set of magnets from me? I thought I was being really careful with my list but I got back to my room with an extra set :( I hope I didn't leave anyone out and just miscounted! If you didn't, let me know and I'll mail you a set.

I just heard back from our onboard booking card that I dropped off... rebooked for a dummy date in Dec. 2012... wow I didn't realize they were still doing 50% deposit - saweeeeet! So I'll move it to (I think) Spring Break 2014, a 7 nt on the Fantasy, hopefully, eventually.

What did your magnets look like? :) We were the only ones way down on deck 6 so I wouldn't blame anyone if they accidentally missed us!

I didn't realize you'd made magnets.....or was it for the FE peeps?

It was for the FE.
It was a set of 6 glass marble magnets in a small round tin. I can take a photo and post...

Was that that huge group sitting in a circle not far from the opening at serenity Bay??

Yep! Big circle of chairs dragged about mid-beach in front of the line of chaises?

Joy - I loved your magnets!!!! Thanks so much!!!

I am finally getting around to posting here after the cruise. We had such a great time - cannot wait to sail again!!! We are hoping to sail a 7 night on the Fantasy, but we are gonna have to scrimp and save for that one...

To all those that participated in the FE exchange - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! We loved finding all sorts of treasures in our FE whenever we would come back to the room. I absolutlely LOVED the homemade gifts - and all the other little stuff was fun to go through also!! I hope all the kids enjoyed the little flashy blinky rings and other assorted goodies we gave out.

I am so sorry I missed the 3pm meet and greet on embarkation day - but those love bugs were too much for me to deal with... I tried, I did - I went up to Currents at about five to 3, and there wasn't anyone else there yet, except for the CM's behind the gates at Currents (which were closed to keep those bugs out) - and as quick as I got out there, i turned around and went back inside... I was bummed that I missed it.

LindenLady - I saw you in your gorgeous dress at Shutters one night - but you were very involved in something - I didn't want to interrupt you - but you looked absolutely stunning!!

My son Harrison had a blast - I know he met up with Joy's son Nick in the terminal and in the Edge - not sure if he met up with any other kids from this group.

The ship was gorgeous and as much of it as I saw - there were parts I never did catch a glimpse of... More reason to have to sail again!!!

:worship: Huge thanks once again to Joy for organizing the FE exchange - It was a pleasure to have met you!!!

I agree! The FE was one of the best things we experienced! We will def be participating again on our next cruise! Maybe I'll have more time, without wedding crap, to get more creative. :wizard:
Thanks to everyone for the compliments! I do wish I could've personally met more ppl! This was a crazy trip- 1st cruise and a VR. I swear, I blinked and the whole thing was over! Maybe I'll actually get a chance to enjoy the next cruise!
Would LOVE to book again, esp for the Fantasy, but DH says, NO! The prices are pretty steep since it's in high demand AND we have to pay for this cruise first.
Maybe we'll try one of the classic ships? :confused3
I heard the rates were more reasonable on those?? I wonder if I'll feel disappointed after sailing our very first cruise on a new ship and then trying an older ship. Won't I constantly be comparing?? And I'll miss the virtual portholes.... :sad1:
Anyone have feedback on that?

I love the classic ships. I like alot of the bells & whistles of the Dream... mostly because it's cool techno type stuff, but I still LOVE the size and intimacy of the Magic & Wonder. I felt like I was walking FOREVER to get from the front to the back of the ship!

I doubt we'll do another 3 or 4 day again... it's just far too short to enjoy properly. I am hoping for another 2 night cruise to nowhere out of Los Angeles, as that is a nice weekend getaway for us, but for true enjoyment, I'm going to have to stick with the 7 days. I would also love to do a Panama Canal crossing one day but the 14 day voyages are a bit too long (too long in general - with work and our dogs, we can't be away from home that long). Maybe they'll do 10 day crossings one day - that would be my ideal!

The lovebugs kept us off the open decks too... I totally forgot about the time and didn't make it to Currents either. I'm sure I probably passed a few of you guys more than once during the cruise. Sounds like everyone had a good time though.

I'm back on Oct 13th for a 3 day and then I've got another disney fan site cruise in Nov. 2012.

Wow! So beautiful. We didn't get to see you on the ship but what a lovely memory!! Makes me want to plan my own VR!

Good evening :) Do you mind me asking who made the graphic and would it be possible to get one with our sailing dates? I am a DISer, but somehow managed to find this graphic through google. Thanks! Happy cruising

it is at the bottom of post 1 on page 1 of this thread.
bubbasmom99. I think

there are some threads on the cruise board where people make graphics to order. You can search there too.

I am going to use this logo and PAINT on the computer and superimpose a new date on it to see how that looks for my next DREAM cruise--maybe you can do that too.

Have a great cruise.
