Am I crazy to be planning a whirlwind trip for this people-packed, hotter-than-you-know-what weekend? It will be our last chance to go before we move to Europe. Has anyone been there during this time? Tell me!

Been there the past two 4th of july and going again this year. a little more crowded and a little more humid. don't plan on going to mk on the 4th. been known to close due to capacity. Just use the fastpass system so that you can get the most of it.

Went there once one year.. wouldn't do it again

Was there for the 4th of July week in 2002 and 2003, just stay away from MK on the actual fourth, (unless you like wall to wall people). ;) The rest of the parks were fine, I found it to be way more crowded this past Christmas week 2004, but then the weather was between the 60's - 70's, so much easier to deal with the crowds when you're not melting to death.

Went to MK on the 4th of July once, will never do it again... It was wayyyy too hot and humid, too many people. We actually left the park mid afternoon to go to the pools (staying on site), and even the pool water was unbearably hot. After that time, we only do Disney in the spring or late summer months, never again in July...

Went to MK on the 4th one time. Would never, under any circumstances, do it again--even if the tickets and food in the parks were free! Everything about it was miserable.

We go the weekend of the 4th almost always. We never go into any of the parks on the 4th because it's too crowded. Good planning and use of fast pass makes our trip very enjoyable. True -- it's very hot and humid. :sunny: We usually hit the parks in the morning, go back to the resort in mid afternoon to eat, swim, sleep, etc, and then go back to the parks when the sun goes down. We don't find it that bad at all. :flower:

I was there on 4th of July last year for my honeymoon. We had a great time; though we didn't go to an actual park. We had a carriage ride at WL and then watched fireworks on the beach.

We're going back this year 7-3 to 7-10. I heard last year that there is some kind of hay ride out of wl that you can buy tickets to for $10 and that they gave a great view of the fireworks...

I'll be there July 4 so I need to monitor this thread.

We spent last July 4th at MGM. Wasn't so bad. We expected it to be crowded, and it was. But I don't recall anything bad about it.

We went last year and we are going again this year, 2 - 9. But we knew going in that it will be HOT, HUMID AND CROWDED. :sunny: We went to MK on the 4th and it was crowded. We went there early and got to ride on most of the rides. It usually rains every mid afternoon for a couple of hours, but it does cool things off a bit. Do fast passes and take it easy.
Just hit the parks early, take a break in the afternoon to swim or nap, and come back to parks in the evening if you like. Thats what we did and it worked for us. :flower:
Hope this helps.
