4th of July Golf Cart Parade

Great pics, Jen! We are collecting more patriotic decorations for our first trip during the 4th. We are going to sell our camper and tow vehicle, get a motorhome and a GC. This is just the kind of unique family fun that makes the Fort so special. We can't wait to get our own GC and join in the fun! Unfortunatly it will be a year or two untill we can go back, so I get my Fort fix here on this board and watching our home movies. Anyway we can't wait to spend the 4th there, someday!

This was our first year doing the 4th at FW. We had a great time. The golf cart parade was more enjoyable than we thought and certainly longer than some parades we have been to. The fireworks at the beach were great. We watch the regular ones every time we are there, but the number of people were a big surprise. I don't think anyone staying at FW missed these. It was a little more rowdy than usual and more golf carts that I've ever had to contend with (we are bike people), but we had a great time.

We were in the site right across from you in 315. I saw your sign and even checked out your website. I was going to come over and say hi but you left yesterday afternoon before I got a chance to.

1st place-The golf carts with the circus animals, I think they have 4 or 5 golf carts together.
2nd place was the green pricesses golf cart
3rd was UP!

jaxpooh's gang got a special award, but not first place...the first place cart was a cart with tinkerbell theme...which you have as second place, 2nd place was the up cart and 3rd place was the cart with the characters roasting marshmellows on the back...

we will have to find out from theresa what her special prize was, i would really like to know...she put so much work into that train!

Actually First ALL AROUND prize was the circus train ...WE were the CASEY JR from DUMB O. It included ours (m-sjaxjag) and (jaxpooh) my sister along with 3 more carts; made up of 27 family members. The fun was deciding what to do and putting it together as a group... of course there was fussing and fighting while we did it and we worked until 2am the night before finishing up the engine and the caboose

Actually Jen, we were first place. We were the Casey Junior Circus train from Disneyland. We had 5 carts and 27 people participating. Took quite some time to get it done, but it was all worth it. We were up until almost 2 the night before finishing it up. M-SJaxjag from the boards was the mastermind and train engineer. Second place was the fairy cart, and 3rd place was UP. We won 4 tickets to HDDR, but since there were so many of us the let us trade them for some pontoon and mouseboat time, have a great time! Jen, could you please email me the pics directly so I can print them? When I access them thru your FB they are too small to print. Thanks!

The 4th of July parade was great this year. I loved out carts (the Casey Jr train) and can't wait to see what we come up with for next year.
