We watched them from the Grand Floridian and had a great view. The boat dock would have the best view and Gasparillas would be good, too. We saw them from Gasparillas and some of the fireworks were behind the buildings. But you still saw 95% of them.
We've never been the week of the 4th but have Ohana booked on the 3rd at 7:30 pm so that we can watch them from the beach after/during dinner assuming we get seated remotely close to our reservation time...I've done Ohana many times and they are notorious for seating late. We've got a touring plans request in for 6:30pm to help assure better timing. Who would have thought a 7:30pm dinner reservation wasn't perfect?
I'm counting on dinner guests getting to watch from the beach even on the 3rd/4th. We've booked the FEA dessert party at Epcot for the 4th to help avoid/manage the crowd.
I'd utilize the Wave reservation and stay at the Contemporary if possible. Moving around on the 4th sounds a bit worrisome with the crowds.
