Hi all :) Have some holding points we need to use by August 1 so called today and was able to get BWV for 2 nights for 4th of July weekend. Wahoo! We are seasonal passholders so our passes are blocked for summer - no parks this trip. Does anyone know of any events at non-park locations for that weekend? Maybe DTD or close by in Lake Buena Vista area?

TIA for any help!

Our family was at BWV July 4 evening in 2008 & had an awesome time; there were plenty of BW entertainers out and about and dj-dancing on the village green and could also see some of DHS, Epcot & MK fireworks. The overall atmosphere was lively & fun with lots of people strolling around the lake, riding bicycles, eating ice cream etc. We didn't miss the parks at all.

:goodvibes

See if you can get a dinner ADR at the Polynesian so you can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks, I was going to recommend a fireworks boat but I am sure they are all booked by now.

GREAT ideas so far, loving them and thanks so much for your help. PLEASE keep them coming! Maybe there are others who will be in the area like myself who will be looking for things to do as well.:thumbsup2

Dinner at Narcoosee's is good for the fireworks on either the 3rd or 4th!
DTD might have something as well.:confused3

If you are thinking of a July 4th ADR at the Poly, try SOON. We were there (no ADR) last July 4th and thought we had a great idea to watch the fireworks from the Poly Beach. It was WALL to WALL People!:scared1: We had a blast but weren't expecting it. Take blankets to sit on. There were no chairs and there were long lines for all food. We got there super early. I had never seen so many people together at a resort. The water parade came by followed by the fireworks with the sound piped in. All that being said, we had a great time, and the fireworks were fantastic.

MK will likely preview the 4th fireworks on the 3rd. That is the day I would visit the Poly beach. Even the Electrical Water Parade is patriotic that night.

If you plan to watch at the Polynesian you will need an ADR, only guests staying at the resort and those with ADRs allowed on the 4th, same with the Grand Floridian and Contemporary.

Thanks you past 2 posters, this is what I was looking for. Will keep you posted, this is perfect so THANK U!!!

you can walk over to the bridge from BWV and see the Epcot fireworks.

for the MK - take the bus the MK - then ride the monrail to Polyn or GF - my pick would be the CR - 4th lounge which you can walk too- okay it is not even close to TOWL that BLT has - but they do get the music and fireworks.

hoping you can get back to the BWV bus before the crowds get there - or go shopping in all the MK resorts.

the MK is generally opened on July 4 until 2 or 3 am.

you can also see the Mk fireworks from BW (no music) - in the area over SAB - between YC and BC - once they start you can definitely see them
