4th July Fastpasses EPCOT

I know I'm getting ahead of myself but just wondering what thoughts are for fastpasses in EPCOT on 4th July. i find EPCOT a difficult one to plan because of the tiers. I wouldn't usually use up a fastpass for fireworks but do you think its important on this day? Does the viewing area for Illuminations make that much of a difference?

1. This kind of information is explained in the FP+ thread found HERE. Read post #1 and #2 for FP+ usage, recommendations, and timing advice.
The recommendations are useful at all crowd levels.

2. It's a good viewing spot.
So are dozens of other spots around WS Lagoon.
The FP for IllumiNations does not guarantee that you will not be standing behind many other guests who are also in the FP viewing area.

Thanks. I've been reading that thread but don't feel it really answers my question for that day. I was hoping for more specific information from those that have experience this for 4th July or opinions as to whether its worth forgoing something like Test Track on a day like that. I'm not really sure what to expect for that day. I've seen Illuminations 3 times in the past. Once from near Mexico which was a great view and required us to be there about 40 minutes ahead of time. Once on a cruise which just didn't have the same effect. And once from Rose and Crown where we could barely see a thing due to the number of people in their viewing area.

For what it's worth, I found the Japan area to be great to watch the 4th fireworks. The 4th fireworks have bonus material that appear in different places than the usual illuminations fireworks. I'd say that the Epcot 4th is my favorite fireworks show ever.

If you like Test Track I would hang on to FP for that.
