Hey. My family and I are flying to Florida on 1st July 2013 for 2 weeks and need to know if we need to book a table at a restaurant that evening in CityWalk for the 4th July Celebrations? Also, if anyone else has been there at this time of year, where is the best place to watch the fireworks that take place in the park? Cheers guys!

there are some restaurants in City Walk that do not take reservations unless you have a group of 8 or more.

and, there are some that you can make a ressie so many days out.

check out www.citywalk.com for places that take ressies.

can't answer the question of where to be in the park for the fw.
i avoid parks on July 4th like the plague

We were there July 4th 2011, there wasn't anything different from the average night time show. Many people were disappointed in the lack of 4th of July grandeur. However the parks were weirdly empty. I guess everyone was scared of crowds.

Yeah...I don't know if this year will be different but I wouldn't expect a full blown fireworks show on July 4th. Truth be known...the best place to watch fireworks is from the top of one of the parking garages. You can see the City of Orlando's display over Lake Eola and it never disappoints.

Many thanks LUVIOA and Metro West. Very interesting that the parks were quiet, we might actually go there now!

We were there a couple of days before July 4th last year and the crowds were not bad at all. We were very surprised and would go back again during that week.

I know this is an old post but just wanted to ask, can you see them from Universal's parking garage? Is there a prime place to see them? We wanted to have dinner at Citywalk and skip the park. But we wanted a place to watch the fireworks too, is there a prime spot? :listen:

Anywhere on the top level (roof) of the parking garage is good...considering its not cloudy which will probably be an issue this year.

Thank you! I forgot to consider the lovely weather we're having. Looks like more rain tomorrow. :crazy2:
