We have our luggage sent to HRH, get my Loews "upgrade" to a pool view, 5th floor ROOF view with a little "smidge" of pool view, but decide it wasn't a problem, since we were able to get in right away. We of course had to call down for our "ammenity basket" from Loews 1st-... no shock, hard rock is known for not sending up anything unless you bug the heck out of them for anything... ie... towels, washclothes.... none in room... you know, the little things that you need to TAKE A SHOWER... whatever. As, I stated, I've stayed here many times, love the pool area and the music, but the service has ALWAYS SUCKED. The 1st year it opened, we went twice, once by ourselves and then w/ our son. We figured, they just needed to get the "kinks" out... new place, small problems....although they kept charging us for valet service...( flew in from chicago ) explained this MANY TIMES and put charges on and took them off after MANY calls downstairs and then finally IN PERSON,assurred us it was fixed...well...what is waiting for me in mailbox a week later ?... VALET charges on my card AGAIN!! Yes, I know... why do I go back? Because, I love the pool and music so much and besides,... with each visit I figured NOW they have to have their **** together. NOT! Well, NOW they have "competion" , RPR to the rescue! Anyway, on THIS visit, we didn't get charged valet, (at least I hope not.. haven't seen my card statement yet!) ... we only got TRIPLE charged at the Club Bar... I am not joking... TRIPLE CHARGED!! $140.00 for wings and 4 drinks...- When I called down, they said they would fix it... of course... no. We again, relaxed poolside, (open till 12 am. nice touch, except no music after 10 pm! We then went to The Velvet Bar... wonderful atmoshpere!! Retired around 1 am. On next report, ...checkout and the day I left all my money and travelers checks at front desk!!
