4Copley's,1Mouse,5Days at WL ( day 3 THE DIVE!)

When we reported for the dive there was only 1 other person waiting . I told my DH that this would be a good thing because that means less people to ask questions and theat means more water time .

Before long however , others came to report in ( they were cutting it close)
The funny part was that the 1st guy was smiling at us giving us what I call "The Look" when he saw 2 of the guys who walked up drinking and eating ice cream . They had a ton of gear ( someone saw them coming when they bought thier stuff LOL). I didnt arrange our dive our IPO girl did but she did tell us the only gear from outside would be your own mask if you wanted it . I guess those 2 were the only ones who missed that because there were 7 of us now and they were the only ones with gear. 5 with only thier mask and these 2 with a whole Dive Shop bawwhaaaaa.
I wouldnt have made fun of them but they went on and on about thier Split Fins and how fast they were going to go , the best part was when they asked why they couldnt dive with a snorkel because if they ran out of air they would not be able to breathe without it . Well at 30 Ft your air source will be UP and you wont need a snorkel in a big fish tank.

When we were all asked what size shortie we would need I had to say XL because well I am a little large ( not tooo scary LOL) but I have a large bust . These 2 guys with the gear started laughing . My DH was becoming upset , I told him let it go no biggie .
BTW the guys running this program are AWSOME ! If you can dive do it !!!!
My DH told when I came out that the 2 jerks had put thier shorties on backwards LOL and he had to tell them the zipper went in the back . They had never been on a dive hence the attitude and all that gear !

I have to tell you we dive in Cozumel and it is so pretty there I didnt think this would be that wonderful . It was better then I expected. The interaction with the people on the other side of the glass was great . The resturant was closed because of water damage so no scaring the diners. I loved the look on little kids faces when we would wave at them . My Dh and did all kinds of tricks ( I felt like a cocker spaniel ) we made Mickey ears at the kids and we danced together. The Parental Units said the guy that was in charge of the family members watching the dive told people we were not real . We were Anitmatronics ! Part of the Disney Magic LOL.

We had blast , we really enjoyed the dive. We didnt buy the DVD they make of you but now we wished we did. We got a dive stamp for our logs and we found out that all the money goes to the Disney Conservation group . It was a great dive, it had the best equipment , the best dive masters, and we had 2 saftey divers with us there were 5 people watching 7 people dive . The best part was that the money went 100% to conserve the ocean . I will be doing this again

That dive program there IS great! I did the dive during our last trip (new years trip '04). I love how you get to see the backstage area. I had a blast during that dive.

I think it's the fact that you do become part of disney magic. I've scuba'd around the world but there is just something magical about being in a huge fish tank with people watching you. The kids faces light up, everyone waves and is sooooo excited when you go by or infront of them. And at one point I went to check out where the dolphins are and found that I was having more fun interacting with the humans on the other side of the glass! ha ha!

I also liked those air chambers that they have where you could go into for a breath of air (while on the bottom of the fish tank). I must say that was pretty cool.

It really sounds like those guys were total beginners just by the foolish way they were acting. Not too safe to be around while diving if you ask me! How did their dive go by the way?

Krispe , the funny thing was that one of the Jerks lost thier fins during the 1st 5 min of the dive LOL . That was not as funny as the stuff they talked about on the platform before we went in the water. They were asking where the second air source was since there was only regulator. The Divemaster said up that is your air source

It was a so much fun !

I wished that I could do the dive experience. It sounds so much fun---but, NC Beast and I in shorties might scare the fish away.

Mad, I would have pulled the face mask off those two goofs. Glad you had fun regardless. I am not a water person for sure but it does sound fun. Keep em coming......
