499 days to book question?

I must be losing my mind, but please help me get it back. I called to make our Dec. 2012 reservations because we were at the 499 day mark yesterday. They said that my booking would have to be 499 days from the expected check out date and not the check in date. I'm confused. Is this correct?

We go every year in Dec. but it gets harder and harder every year to get the dates we want without going through many different hoops.

Please let me know your thoughts on the subject.

They are correct. The reservation system will only book/hold as site/room within the 499 day window. So, if your check in is 499 the other days are outside the window.

Thanks so much. I need to make a correction to my original post. It's my Dec. 2011 reservation, not 2012

Thanks for the confirmation. I added another day today and I will keep adding until I have what I want. Really a pain.
