Hi Everybody............Haven't been to Disney for 3 years. Feeling the itch


I need a little help I'm thinking of using the code QXG for a trip in Oct., but I can't figure out how to plug the code into the Disney reservation system


or maybe I should wait and go in Dec. for Xmas break??? My son's will be 7 on Dec. 23, could make a magical gift. How is the weather in Dec.

TIA for any suggestions.

Wow - thanks (or should I say thanks a lot in the sarcastic voice?)!

I wasn't planning on going back until next year earliest, and went to that link - I could take my kids for 5 nights at CSR for $1700 with tickets and dining! That was $700 less than the rate offered through the regular Disney rate. We could do a value for $200 less, but I've never stayed in a value resort. I like interior corridors and the option for room service, and CBR sounds like it has more service.

Now, to decide! We may go Dec 19th to the 24th. Just me and the kids probably. It's either one of the cheaper Disney resorts, or the Swan (free on points).

Yikes - what to do?!!!!!

I am not sure that you can be on the DP if you stay at the Swan. You might want to check on that. Also, even though we are staying at the CBR (in 4 days to be exact ), everyone seems to really like the value resorts. You might want to post your question in the resorts section about other DISers stay at the value resorts, and which are their favorites. HTH

Are you taking 2008? If so, between the GA code that came out at the end of August, and the recent push of PINs for FD to everyone (but me!), you'll have a hard time finding anything.

You can check availability from the main web site - check the "wake up in the middle of the night' promotion and that will be applying the code directly.

Now, for Xmas, ugh - that's high season - doubt there's anything left...

I got this code as well and I had savings of 519$ but I was confused on where the discount came from is it our resort or what? There are 5 staying at POR from Oct 17-24. I just couldn't believe that I could save that much $. My husband was estatic but I was thinking more $ for us to do things we Want to do... (well maybe what I want to do

Can someone tell me how we got that much of a discount?

***Moderate resorts don't have interior corridors, only the deluxes do. And I'm not aware of room service being available besides pizza delivery....just FYI...

Yes - I discovered that! I had thought it had interior corridors at first. I feel safer with that when I travel with my kids alone.

I do see that CSR has room service - there aren't a lot of choices, but they do have it.

If we stay at the Swan, we can't do dining, but now I figured that isn't our best choice. We'd cash in points to stay free 5 nights at the Swan - they have plenty of rooms as of now. It's just that this code is a very good deal.

As the OP said, it is for us like getting the tickets for free.

It wasn't that great of a deal for me for a deluxe, as I can't justify spending that much when my kids and I will be out at the parks or hanging out, not in the room much. If DH decides to come along, that changes everything! He'd definitely want to stay at a villa...

Not true at all. Actually Disney must be hurting if they are sending PINs out for free dining. So the resorts must not be filling very well, thus the pin for free dining.
