49 days to go & JUST paid it off!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited. I just paid off our trip and we only have 49 days to go til our magical 10 day trip. Now hopefully that time will just fly by. DD8 is getting so excited, she brings something up about our trip everyday. Plus, bonus, our maps arrived in the mail today and that adds to the excitement even more.

OMG...... You must be arriving on June 8th too.
This thread could have been started by me....
I also called and paid the final amount due on Friday!
We received our maps a couple weeks ago. And my DD is 16, but just as excited about going as she was the first time she went 9 years ago!!!
DD just picked out 2 new pairs of sun glasses! It's a big thing for her.... she just got contacts!
Now we can really start focusing on just having FUN!!!!

I just called and made the final payment as well. I'll be arriving with my family on the 10th!

Cindyfan -- Yes, we do arrive on the 8th and leaving on the 17th. Actually not really leaving Florida that day though. My aunt and uncle are coming to pick us up and we are going to stay with them for 3 days (they live in Melbourne)

Where are you staying?

Ragetti -- Same question to you since you're arriving a couple of days later.

We are staying at POP.

DD got up this morning and said "only 7 weeks til we go to Disney" then she said since she's out of school in 6 weeks it will be closer for her. She's made the comment quite a few times today as to how long we have.

Isn't it just the best feeling when we pay it off. All ADR's are made (have been for about 3 months now). Maps are here. Airline tickets are bought. The only thing I have left to do is call and book my ME now.

Disney World here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're staying at POFQ from the 10th to the 17th.

Yeah, paying it off this early has made this the most stress-free vacation in a LONG time (and by far the most elaborate). We haven't really done a proper vacation since out daughter was born. Trips have been limited to visiting the grandparents (fun for sure, but not really a "vacation"), or just short weekend jaunts. (we spent a long weekend in Philadelpia a couple years ago to visit Sesame Place and weekend last year at King's Island). My daughter has NO IDEA what she's in for. Birthday at Disney? Birthday lunch at Cindy's Castle? I mean, how cool is THAT for a girl turning 5!? Don't have to go into debt!? (OK, that one's for Mon and Dad )

This will be our 5th time staying there. And we are soooooooo excited!!!

We just have 2 character meals set up right now..... but trying to decide what night to have dinner at Liberty Tree too.
Just waiting for our ME info.....
They have changed our flights 3 times already.... but it shouldn't change again.

This will be our 5th time staying there. And we are soooooooo excited!!!

I wanted to stay moderate but I went back to school this past Sept. for nursing and I'm trying to save a little money. I would love to stay at CSR. We had actually planned to stay there when my mom was going to go but she can't and it will just be me and dd.

We have 6 character meals planned (we're staying 10 days on the dining plan). We are doing LTT on Sun. 10th at 6:30. Which one's do you have planned? Who know's maybe we may run across each other.

They changed our flight time too. Our leave time is an hour later but now we have a shorter layover in Atlanta.

I noticed you were from OH, what part? We're from Louisville, KY.

What a wonderful birthday. I'm sure she will absolutely love it. I would love to take DD for her birthday but it's in the middle of July. Hot and busy! I'm sure she will love having lunch at Cindy's on her birthday what better place for a princess to celebrate.

I have been purchasing Disney dollars since January and have 600.00 in spending money. I did this so there would be no dipping into the spending money. Did it last time we went and it worked out great.

We did the same thing last trip we took. I was going to do that this time but I hate that they only come as high as $10. We have another plan this time though. DD's school does scrips every week and they have disney gift cards now so we are going to start buying them each week til we go. That way I also don't dip in the spending money plus she'll get a % of it in her account towards her book bill for school. I think figuring up we will end up getting at least about $1000 worth and it will put about $40 in her account at school (school gets half or it'd be more)

They just emailed me and changed our flight again. They've changed our flight coming home 2 times already. It went from 6:30 to 5:30 to 5:45pm. That one is non-stop. Our flight out changed also because we were leaving at 11:30am and now it's 12:30pm. I usually fly non-stop first thing in the morning but I have finals the week we leave and I was afraid we may have a final Friday so I wanted to schedule so I could take my final and then leave. I hate that we aren't getting there until 4:30pm though. Guess we'll just have to do EMH that night.

My dd also loves Kali. We rode it about 3 times in a row last time we were there. But it was raining and we were wearing ponchos so our clothes didn't get wet. I totally agree because I hate getting wet and having to walk around in wet clothes.

We just paid ours off on Monday! It's nice to have that over with. Now all we need to do relax and count down the time until we leave.
