$49 All Star Rate Check Confirmation Carefully

Hi,

I just received my confirmation in the mail today and to my suprise there was a note on it "proof of residence required at check-in". When I booked this rate I called and had no code and asked for the best rate avaiable for my time frame. It was the CM that put me on hold and came back on in a few minutes to tell me she had found the rate and that nothing special was needed it was open to everyone. She know I lived in MA because I gave her my home address.

So I called CRO as soon as I read this tonight and I got a very nice CM who was suprised that I was given this rate without a code and that I had the rate even though I lived in MA. She put me on hold for a long time but came back on and said her and her superviosr had "changed the code" on my ressie so that I would not be asked for ID and that they would send me out a new confirmation slip. She said that the code the other CM had put on my ressie was a Flordia residence code and that I would have been asked to prove I lived in Florida.

So read your confirmatons carefully and call if yours notes that proof of residence is required.

I asked the CRO CM if Florida residence was required and she said no, it didn't matter where you lived. Disney really needs an overhaul of CRO.

There was a separate code that was just for FL residents. The first CM I spoke to found this one but not the one for everyone. So, it probably was an honest mistake but it would be a good thing to check your confirmation slips when they arrive.

I agree check your confirmation but also note that there were several codes going around,
I live in CA and the code I used was for a "Fall Value Rate". So do check your confirmations but dont lose sleep over it you may have been booked on a reservation that doesn't require any proof of residence... Hope it works out for all!!

Thanks for the info! I just got mine & it says something like Fall direct mail value rate. Nothing about residency is mentioned. I asked if a postcard would be required & was tolf no.

There must have been a lot of $49 rates available!

Everything was fine, just present confirmation and id and we're set for 10 days! Only thing on there was Fall Value rate and that was it! Now IF I can just get a Winter Value rate for our December trip!

Got mine today. It says something about the value direct mail Apr/May (fall rates) on it. I called to triple check that I don't need a postcard and was told again that I do not. The "direct mail" part makes me nerveous thinking that they'll ask for a postcard, but I was told when I made the ressie that I didn't need one and every CM I've called and asked says I don't, so I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

Okay, so I received my "modified" confirmation slip and now it notes "hispanic room only" but the proof of residency required note was still there. So I called for a third time and this CM apoligized and stated she would take the note off and mail out another confirmation slip. So now I am waiting for my third confirmaiton slip. I am not canceling by Dolphin ressie until I have this slip in hand.

I got the hispanic room only rate also but no proof of residence note on mine.

I was wondering the others at the all star that got the $49 fallvalue rate did they use a code or not when they called CRO? I tried asking for the fall value rate without a code and it didn't work.

I called this morning and asked for the Fall Value Rate. Clerk asked for code, I gave it to her. She said she didn't see it anywhere. When I went into detail, ie. rate, dates available, and what resort it was available, she suddenly said, "Since you know all that, I've found it." (Curious I think) But I did get the $49 rate for Sept. 8-13. Oh, yea, at the beginning she did ask me if I was a Florida resident and I said no and that was that on the residency issue. Good Luck to all.

Hi there I'm responding to Zurgswife's question and yes I needed a code to get that rate. I tried quite a few codes with an extremely nice CM and after trying 2 other codes the last one I gave her worked for me.
