The three of us have hair cuts.

I was reading that how much do you spend to be pretty thread and could not believe what some folks spend....

We go to supercuts for hair cuts- My hair- naturally curly but chemically straightened just has layers with no bangs- I get it trimmed every 5-6 MONTHS...

DD8's hair was 1/2 way down her back- all one length, no bangs- she got hers up to her shoulders with layers- from chin down...

DD9's hair was at her butt, she got 1/2 way down her back- with layers and bangs that sweep to the side...

all for 48 bucks and that includes TIP!

Now granted, when I first straightened my hair I was at the salon for 8 hours, and it cost me $300 but that was 3 years ago, now I go every 9-10 months or so, and its about $80 and 3-4 hours....

I can't be the only cheap one here!

I go to a private hairdresser (owns her own shop) and I pay 18 bucks for cut and style. I do tip her (even though she owns the place). I have went to her for about 6 years. She does a great job. DD goes to her too.
It is well worth it to me. I color my own though:) too cheap to have it done in the salon.

we go to a local salon started by a group of young girls a few years ago. We pay $11 for a haircut and will usually tip $2 or $3. I think they do as well as the really nice salons I have gone to and paid more for.

I pay $26.00 for me at DD14 (each) and my other two children are 18.00 each. It's not cheap to get a hair cut anymore.

I pay waaay too much. My salon raises the prices constantly and I get charged extra because my hair goes below my shoulders. I only go every 4 months when it starts to look really bad. I'm afraid to try someone one new. I tried a slighly cheaper salon once last year and did not like the cut at all.

When my 2 DS were young - both under 4, we invested in a Flowbee - Yep, the vacuum cleaner hair cutter!! DH even used it on himself and he's a picky engineer. Within the last 2 years, they've all gone to mostly buzz type cuts as 2 of them ride cycles and didn't want helmet head, so they now use a hair clipper. DS16 went and paid to have his hair cut by someone at the mall last week as he wanted to see if there was a difference as he had NEVER had anyone cut his hair!

As for DD, hers is long & we go about twice a year - under $20 each time. I go about the same as I usually just pull it back in a pony anyway.

Cheap, you bet!!

A friend was recently bragging about the $80 hair cuts she and her DD got. The DD's hair did look great. She went from waist length unlayered hair, to mid back with lots of layers. Moms hair was "just" trimmed, one length mid back hair with bangs.
So another friend went and wanted the cut that the friends DD had. Well the lady screwed her hair up really bad. The friend ended up going to a cheap place to get it fixed.

I had an expensive place in MS screw mine up big time about 15 yrs ago. Ended up going to a cosmetology school to get it fixed.

I pay $16 to get mine done at one of the chians. I can't even remember which one right now LOL.... Hair Cuttery I think

I always go to supercuts. Why go to a fancy salon and spend $100 each when supercuts does the same thing cheaper! I have never had a bad haircut through them!
