$47 Delta?

Wow, I found the deal this morning on a similar site and secured two tickets for DD and I for our Spring Break week. I was pretty shocked at the prices, but never even considered that it might be a glitch. I just knew I couldn't pass on it. :) Now to decide between DW, DCL, or beach... leaning towards DCL.

I've been checking airfare all morning (as I do every morning) but not on Delta's site. I usually go to Orbitz and SWA. Fat lotta good that did me.

I got mine on Expedia and another friend got theirs on Travelocity. I always check EVERY site. You just never know. It was a very short glitch, lucky I even got through. I think it was only 5 minutes from the time I bought mine until my sister tried and couldn't buy them.

I'm also hoping post xmas rates will come down since less people have $$ to spend on airfare...

Hoping for you! If you're looking at Alaska, remember that the travelers can get a travel credit if the price goes down after it's booked. And their prices do seem to bounce around quite a bit.

If she has some flexibility with dates (b/c the fare can be very different from day to day), be sure to check out Alaska's flight #16, the one that leaves at 8am and arrives at 4:30ish. Not only is it a non-stop flight (lovely) but you get to the airport just in time to think about having a manicure at Butter:London and/or a massage right next door to Butter (and just steps away from Starbucks). IMO it's a perfect way to use the time before a flight. :)

ETA: rather than Orbitz I personally like kayak if you want to check a bunch at once. But mainly I just have each airline's main booking page saved in a file on my toolbar and I run through each of them really fast. ETAagain: and SW of course. But I find that SW just doesn't have the fares I like or the routes that make a fare worth it for me.

It looks like I caught this on the very tail end. I literally booked my tickets, then posted to my cruise's FB page and then posted here. Almost immediately. I thought I would be able to help make fellow DISer's trips magical, but it seems I have caused more frustration than joy. :sad1:

Sorry...

No worries. :goodvibes

That's just the sort of thing we are here for. Computer glitches are out there, and we're all waiting to pounce on them. Any help finding them is appreciated.

I got it on Travelocity. Totally random. Just checking to see if there were any sales. We have reservations at Aulani in March but no tickets yet. Have seen anywhere from $800-$1200 per person. Today got 4 tickets for $320 TOTAL. Could not believe it and so glad they are honoring!pixiedust:

Absolutely no need or reason for you to apologize!! :goodvibes You were being kind and trying your best to share some pixie dust but it just wasn't meant to be! ;)

Thanks for taking the time and trying!

4:30 is perfect. We are all meeting at MCO with various flights from 4-6p. 5/2, fly out of MCO 5/11 preferably not at the crack of dawn...

I got our airfare for 242 during the government shutdown but hers went UP that week and stayed up. We can drive it if need be, its just a splurge, but for Seattle Twinkie, it's a necessity.

My indoor sunshine and hard run and workout helped. Maybe a nice hot shower and I can forget about airfare for the night...

Twinkie and I decided that SWA met good enough times to buy today! She and I are quite relieved. 137 and 157 each way, right in the doable range. We didn't think it would go much less than that, so we got it! It's better than the mid 400s to 500s which some of them were looking. And includes the bags. She upgraded to the priority boarding since she says its a zoo now to pick seats.

So there we go. One major thing off my check list, and they can't back out now! (Gotta have airfare nailed down before PIF...)
