I can't wait to just get there already.
Last Thursday I nearly mangled my knee and it still hurts, hoping not to have to rent an ECV mid-trip.
Last Saturday I turned 40, which made the physical infirmity that much more ironic (I did it by hopping a chain link fence).
Monday my wife gets sick. She usually made it into the bathroom in time (back to table food by today).
Tuesday I was rear-ended by a very old lady in a very new Mercedes while I was stopped for a school bus with flashing red lights -- no real injury, just a bit stiff. ANd my only vehicle that can transport all 4 of us AND our luggage to an airport 70 miles away has a sagging rear bumper that I hope won't be exacerbated by the weight of luggage. Rental car isn't practical at this point,
Wednesday I got saddled with a HUGE amount of work that has to be done before I leave (I do all of my report writing and other paperwork at home).
Today (Thursday) I woke up with a 101.0 fever, but except for feeling a little run-down I feel totally "unsick."
I'm afraid what tomorrow will hold. We leave Saturday afternoon.
