417 to bypass I4????

We've drove to Disney many times, but never have we taken the 417 toll road.

We are arriving on Christmas day and was thinking it might be a good idea!!

How much should we expect to pay from Sanford region to Kissimmee??

About $7. Well worth it. I-4 is under major construction.

417 is much better than I-4!!! If you often drive to Florida, I would suggest to stop at the welcome center and buy a sunpass. We got one last summer and you get a cheaper rate at tolls and no need to carry change. Also, if you plan on driving elsewhere in Florida it's useful for the FL turnpike and small toll roads (we like to stay in St. Pete Beach where there's a 1$ toll we often use).

How bad is the traffic/construction between 528 and MK on I4? By my calculation, if we took 417 from the airport, it would cost $8. If we took 528/I4, it would be $2.10.

I don't think 417 costs that much.

And that calculator is hard for an outsider. I don't know the name of the on ramp coming from the airport and the ramps it gives for exiting don't match up to the exits I've taken. Who knows the names of the ONramps?

But it's the traffic from 528 to WDW that people are talking about avoiding.

There is also a mess of construction on 528 between the airport and I4. It's $3 cash tolls between the airport (Boggy Creek) and Disney (Exit 6--becomes Osceola Parkway).

Take the 417 out of Sanford Out of Airport And Turn Right & then shortly a Left Turn onto 417

An easy drive but with I think 2 toll sections before you reach MCO sections .

So you would have about 4 Toll booths in all What is $ 8 in overall cost of vacation.

No need for Sun Pass as I assume you are staying around Disney area .
