Ok, after having just paid about $250 a night for a really dated and very non-deluxe hotel on the coast of Maine this past weekend, I was thinking that I would have no problem paying rack rates at a disney deluxe for either a February Presidents week trip or an Easter trip..but...YIKES! $415?! I was thinking in the area of $299 or so. I know I have paid $169 with an AP rate at the BC waaay back in 1999, but I just never thought that rack rates would go up that much!

So, I am I just delusional or did the rates really go up a lot for next year? What would be a AAA rate or even an AP rate for those times?

Any input would be appreciated!

As of now, there isn't anyway of checking for AP rates. The Best Rate Program is only going up to 2/16. Your best bet is to log onto the offical web site (if you are an AP holder) you can then monitor as each day goes by to see what the AP rates will be for then. If you go in tomorrow, you will get the rates for up to 2/17, the next day 2/18 etc...

Thanks Sharon. I am not an AP holder right now. I am still trying to figure out this Best Rate thing, LOL! I'm so glad that people are posting their rates because it helps for deciding whether or not to purchase the AP, since it would be only for the room discount (We usually travel to WDW ever other year).

Do you think there will be any discount, Best Rate, or otherwise for the weel of 2/20/06 (Presidents week)? I know that I was able to get the govt rate a few years back for that week at the Swan. I was just really hoping to stay at the YC/BC this year, but not at over $400 a night!

Thanks for your help!

Princess Dot: I checked the AP rates for you for a stay in mid-February 2006. The AP rate for a standard view room (Beach Club) is $235 per night, $262.04 with tax. The AP rate for a water view rom (Beach Club) is $300 per night, $334.50 with tax. I believe that President's Day weekend is considered peak season and there may not be any discounts offered during this period. Also, Disney has only released AP rates (best rate) through 2/16/06. It may a month (or more) before any AP rates are offered after 2/16.

Thanks for the info! Now $235 a night I could do! I can see though that they might not have any discounts for Presidents week, but a girl can hope!

Thanks for listening. I think i just needed to vent a little as I was really just suprised at the rack rate. I realize that both of my time frames are peak times, but I just don't think I could handle WDW in the summer again. Too hot, hot, hot!

I have a AAA discounted room at BC for the week following Pres. Week '06, it is a 10% discount off rack rates, Pres. week and beyond considered "Peak"season. The rates are a lot to swallow but we are thinking this may be our last WDW trip for a while so we plan to use all our Visa points and do it up in style. This will be our 4th trip in 7 years so time to spend the money on seeing other places, my DD will start HS next year and our time will be more crunched when she is in HS sports, and frankly WDW is just getting too darn expensive! :confused3
