Our first day at Disney in April will coincide with my 40th birthday! Yes, getting old, but at least feeling young.

So I would love some suggestions on where to celebrate, most likely with a dinner. We are open to going to the parks on that day or staying at the resort. We will be at the Wilderness Lodge. We are a family of 4, kids are 10 and 7.

Open to all suggestions.

Hey Pirate Jeff - You sound just like my dad who just celebrated his 2nd anniversary of his 59 birthday!

As for birthday dinner suggestions, I just had mine a few weeks ago at Le Cellier for lunch. It was a wonderful meal. Though our big surprise meal took place on my "birthday eve". We went to WCC for the first time and were really pleased at how good the food was. The "entertainment" was even better, and yes - they did know it was my birthday eve and my kids absolutely loved it!

Other choices for a nice dinner - since you are already at WL - send the kids to Cubs Den and dine at Artist Point. Very good food and wine. (We have eaten here with the kids and without the kids)

Best regards,
Pam (who just celebrated her own 2nd anniversary of her 39th bday.)

I celebrated my 40th in September. We were also staying at Wilderness Lodge, so I had asked to have dinner at Artist Point. It was the absolute highlight of our trip. I have posted a review up above, in the dining review section (pictures too). We made it a whole family event. Everybody got dressed up (Mickey ties for the boys) and we went for before dinner drinks at the Territory Lounge, just outside of Artist Point. It was quiet and had plenty of child friendly beverages on their menu. We had a lovely time and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Granted, your children a little younger than ours, but if they are able to behave in a quiet restaurant it might be a lovely way to launch your family's trip.

On the other hand - if you want something more upbeat and a load of fun, try for Whispering Canyon. Make sure they know its your birthday and you'll get to race around the restaurant on a stick pony (I did).

Good luck with whatever you decide on for plans.

Thanks for the suggestions. From now on it will definetly be my 2nd 39th Birthday. I think Whispering Canyon sounds like a lot of fun and we will try that.

Hi

Someone after my own heart!

I've been saying for the last 10 years or so, I want to spend my 40th bday at my favorite place (Disney World).

We just made dinner reservations for Cinderella's Royal Table (at Magic Kingdom) for my actual birthday - April 11.

We haven't chosen the hotel yet or anything else, but made our reservation to have my birthday dinner in the Castle. Honestly, I'm not even expecting the food to be fantastic, it's more for the atmosphere - I want to be in the castle.

Wherever you choose you can't go wrong - you're spending your birthday at Disney World with your family.

Happy early birthday!

Noreen

I will be there celebrating my second "39" birthday in March. We are having breakfast at Chef Mickey's and then going to LTT for dinner and have my fingers crossed that we will be enjoying a Pirates and Princess Party that eveing !!!:dance3:

I'll be at WDW 11/3-16 celebrating my 50th birthday!
Having brkfst/mimosas at Yacht Galley w/friends before doing the Dolphin Encounter at Living Seas.
Lunch at LeCellier, afternoon listening to Off Kilter

I'm celebrating my 40th in January and having breakfast with my favorite mouse at Chef Mickey's and dinner at Narcoossee's.

I figure there is no place I'd rather than at WDW on my 40th -- it'll keep me young at heart! :cheer2:
