40th birthday party gag gift ideas needed

Invited to another 40th birthday party this weekend. Seems all of DH's friends are turning this year.

I have my standard gag gift that I give to most of DH's friends......a goody bag w/daily pill divider, some prep. h, tums, can of creamed corn, bottle of asprin, some muscle rub. You get my drift.

Well the person turning 40 this weekend was at another 40th birthday party 2weeks ago with us, when I gave that other friend my standard gag gift. I'd like to get this weekend's birthday boy something similar, but different. Any ideas?

We're all about gag gifts, nothing "nice" for DH's friends.

This is actually more of a joke on your DH but I went to a party once and the giftgiver gave a new frame. Inside of the frame was a picture of her own husband's mother or MIL. We cracked up laughing

I'd say my gifts ideas are probably too nice, LOL ..

I usually do a CD of songs popular for the year, I also google to see what was invented/created/debuted that year .. and put in the card something about being as old as whatever.

Things we have done or seen done for the milestones:

Dead plants/flowers.
A miniature coffin with a floral spray done by a florist with an RIP banner.
A bag full of brochures from various retirement homes.
A cane.

Write "Viagra" on a small jar and place nothing but blue jelly-beans in it.

Make him and AARP card.
Large print crosswords.
A clapper.


I have done these kind of bags for friends in the past. I just went to the dollar store and walked around to get ideas.

I have given a bottle of geritol all wrapped up in one of those bottle bags that you usually wrap wine in.

There is also a wine called "Old Bas----" (name left unfinished to keep it DIS friendly)which is always fun to give, if they are wine people. It actually doesn't taste bad either.
