40th Birthday Dinner

Looking for an off property restaurant recommendation (within reasonable driving distance) for our April trip to celebrate my 40th! It will most likely be just 4 adults, preferably American or Italian as I'm on the pickier side. Thanks!

Look up Manny's ChopHouse there are several . Try Longhorn Steak House.

We loved Maggiano's on International Drive. Nice atmosphere and GREAT food.

Kobe's Steakhouse is also an excellent choice (and a lot of fun!!). I, too, am a fussy eater and still found lots to love about Kobe's.

The Trattoria Del Porto at Loews Portofino Bay has a wonderful all-you-can-eat "pasta cucina" bar that is a must-do for each of our trips. You choose your pasta noodle, sauce, meats, and other mix-ins and the chef cooks it in front of you. You can go back as many times as you like and change it up however you want. The meal includes an antipasto and salad bar and warm garlic breadsticks (as well as a selection of artisan rolls at your table). You could park in the Universal parking garage for free after 6 pm and take the water taxi over to Portofino......it's a beautiful way to start and end the night, with the parks and Citywalk all lit up (and PB is a gorgeous resort.....the Italian singers perform live in the piazza every evening at dusk, on one of the balconies). Before heading back to the garage to collect your car, you could top off the fun celebration night with a treat from Voodoo Donuts or something really sinful from Toothsome Chocolate Emporium.
