40% PIN and Club Level Reservations?

O.K. so here's my question...

The other day I tried to upgrade our GV room to LVCL but was told there was no availability. So I checked online and it did show availability for our dates.

Then another DIS member mentioned that they only allow a certain # of people to use their PIN against this room category (CL). Is this correct?

Should I try calling again? Maybe get a more helpful CM?

There are only so many rooms available at discounts. This is true for the majority of hotels/airlines/etc

I called everyday until a LV CL at the Poly was opened up. Keep trying, someone may cancel.

Just because a room is available at rack rate doesnt mean its available with a pin or promo. People do cancel though so you can keep checking back

That's a great point and here is an example of that. When my dad called to switch our room only Contemporary Atrium Club - Magic Kingdom View for the 4/3 deal he was told the Magic Kingdom View is not available with that promo on the Atrium Club Level floor. So he had to take the Atrium Club - Bay Lake View, even though the WDW website showed Atrium Club - Magic Kingdom View rooms available during our dates in August if you wanted to make a room only reservation or book other package deals.
