40% off code after numerous phone call to Disney

I have never heard of this before how do I get a 40% off code? Who do I call? We are planning on going in September. Please help

Dates are good for Feb 24-Mar 5, Mar 30-Apr 8, Aug 10-Sep 27 (hopefully free dining), Oct 19-Nov 1, Nov 9-15, Dec 7-17.

My dad got the 40% off promotion in the mail last month. Since he's not using it, can he give it to my friend? It'll be her first trip to WDW for her family of 4.

No, you can not give the code away. The code is linked to a name and address. It has to be that specific person. When you call and make your ressie, you have to give them your name, address and phone number. If the pin code does not come up in that name, you are not allowed to use it. Believe me, they are really strict with the 40% off code.

Can I ask of the people who have received codes or discounts...did you get it in postcard? I recently got a small folder type thing that was about half the size of a regular piece of paper in the mail. I did not see any code in it though. Would this have held it? Thanks for any help?

If you've made a reservation before, your name is in their system. You can call central reservations or the travel company and see if there is a "code" attached to your name for any discounts. Other codes come on postcard mailers. Their is a pin code on the post card. It's for certain resorts, and dates. A possible way to generate such a code is to fill out any requests for Disney information. Go their website, and request the DVD, some people have received discount codes after doing so. It is very random..there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to it.
Other public codes are available from time to time. Check on mousesavers.com. for current discounts that may apply. If you have a Disney Visa, the public discounts usually are available to those guests a day or two in advance of being released to the public. Even when there is a public code you need to mention it while making your reservation..they will not apply it without your requesting it. There are also AAA discounts available to members. You can make a "room only" AAA discount reservation directly with Disney. If you want to make a package reservation..which includes dining and park tickets you'll need to do that with AAA. All the dates I'm seeing posted for 40% off codes seem to be skipping my dates at the end of July. Has anyone been able to apply a code for dates in July or is this time so packed with people that Disney doesn't believe it needs to offer a code?
