Ian - 40, loves WDW, in particular the drinking establishments, leaves all planning to me..

Jules - 39, chief planner, and lover of salty rims!!

Nassau Day, we had both decided that we wouldn't be getting off the ship this time, but I was doubtful that this would happen..

We were awake bright and early, and headed up to the Waves Bar for a ciggie.., the ship was so quiet.

When we got back to the room, room service was delivered, I have to have my coffee

We headed off to Cabannas for breakfast, it was lovely, Ian had eggs benedict, there was a lovely selection..

We were both still puzzled as to how you were supposed to get to Palo / Remy, we couldn't figure it out. As we were leaving Cabannas we saw a sign pointing to Palo so decided to go and have a nosey.

When we got there, I was mortified to be caught taking pics at that time of morning by a cast member, she came over though and said hello, I apologised for intruding while they were obviously cleaning.. "Ooh" she said "are you Welsh, I'm from Newport, are you Welsh, are you really Welsh, can I hug you", it was too funny. She was the greeter for Palo / Remy and said that it was so long since she had heard a Welsh accent she needed a hug. We explained that we were eating dinner at Palo the next night, and she assure us that she would get her husband to be our waiter, her exact words " He is not Welsh mind, he is from Bosnia, but he is lush and a right laugh", she encouraged us to take as many pics as we liked, and showed us a peek of Remys..

We went back to the stateroom, and changed into our swim things, we spen a lovely few hours realxing on the top deck with our books. I disappeared for ages, realaxing in the adult pool, I thought it strange that Ian hadn't come to join me, when I went back to find him, he was flat our asleep! We had a few cocktails and enjoyed the sun. I was still expecting Ian to say he wanted to go to Senor Frogs or The Hard Rock..

We decided to go for lunch at The Royal Table, we had never been to lunch at one of the restaurants on any of our previous cruises

I asked Ian if he wanted to go into Nassau, but he was enjoying the ship, it was soon time for my fire and ice pedicure, so I arranged to meet Ian back at the Wave Bar, it was a lovely pedicure, my feet were rubbed with a giant cheese grater before being wrapped in ice cold goo, and then hot goo, my nails were painted bright pink, I so enjoyed it, it was a lovely experience. Afterwards I found Ian at the bar and we had a beer or two.

We headed to the room for a little rest and a glass of vino before heading to Pink before dinner, I was so excited for this, its a lush bar, I loved it

Again, it was a lovely evening, I was mortified when they bought me a birthday cake at the end of the meal though!! Ian opted for the black truffle pasta, tomato salad, veal and cocolate brownie cheesecake, while I got wild mushroom risotto, baked potato soup and tenderloin followed by some sort of strawberry shortcake.

It was then time for the Pirates Party, it was very different to the Wonder, but amazing all the same, the fireworks were beautiful

the music afterwards was quite ravey, so I threw some shapes on the upper deck, as you do, as I say very different to the Wonder, they seem to have totally modarnised it up!

We headed to the Cove Cafe, and concocted our own coffees, coffee, amaretto, baileys and whipped cream, it was too funny as we started a trend, a few people who came in after us pointed at ours and said we will one have one of those

126.jpg

Suitably tired and tipsy, we headed to our room

So no Senor Frog, no Hard Rock Cafe, but a wonderful day on the Dream

Really enjoying your report.

The food looks so nice :)

Glad the Pirate party is a bit different - those songs they play on the Wonder are a bit dated;)

What a great day exploring the ship Jules. Your photos are making me so excited (got any Tena Lady left ? :rotfl::rotfl:)

I love the look of those champagne cocktails, I must try one or five ;) Pink looks amazing and the Royal Table looks beautiful :thumbsup2

Thanks for posting so many pics ::yes::

We've never done a Caribbean cruise so all the ports are going to be new to us, but I don't think I'm going to want to get off the ship either - too much to explore in too little time. :hyper:

Ooooh please stop now, I need to go back on the Dream asap!!! :hyper:

Sounds like you had a lovely day....the Cocktail you had in Pink looks the same as the one I had which was called "Absolutely Fabulous" & it lived up to it's name.

More, more!

Another amazing day on-board, I swear that ship gets more beautiful with each photo - I NEED to go one day!

I love the look of the Animator's Palace, I would want to pinch a chair to bring home though :lmao:

I like the sound of those coffee's, another lovely day :goodvibes

Lovely day on board why would you want to leave, I am not convinced we will get off either in nassau in oct.

What a great day Jules. I think you definitely did the right thing staying on board rather than getting off in Nassau.

Love the sound of the fire and ice pedicure - sounds amazing
