40% discount off cruise parking - still available?

On previous cruises, I have always stayed at a hotel that is part of the 40% discount voucher program. For those who aren't aware, there is a program among several hotels that if you stay there, you can ask at the counter for a voucher for 40% off the cruise parking fee at the Port Canaveral cruise terminal.

I was recently informed that there has been some discussion that this program has ended. I believe around February 2017. I have called my hotel to find out more information and they state that they still have vouchers that they offer to guests who request one and haven't been notified that the program has ended.

So I'm calling on my DISsers to provide some insight. I just don't want to be surprised at the last minute. Every little bit of savings counts.

Do you have confirmation that they are still accepting the 40% discount vouchers past February 2017?

There are a handful of discount parking places that then shuttle you to your cruise and back. parking is $5-$6 per day. This is one of the closest:

I've always used off-site parking. Those rates depend on season: during "low" season it can get as low as $5/night, and during peak season it gets up to $12/night. The first couple times I went through Park and Cruise, which is well established, and more recently went with Lots of Honor.

but a non vet playing on heart strings

unless you consider father of owner to be close enuf relation to claim the 'benefit'

as a vet I don't like seeing 'vet' status abused

if for no other reason, this place is farther away than the popular ones ..... and in a part of town I'd not leave my car

but make your own choice ......

p.s.

this is at least the third time a parking operation has started in this location .... previous operations failed, I suspect for reasons I mention: too far away, poor location. Same folks? Tax records can answer that question and they are public records ....

they ARE giving it the college try .... but I don't like the vet heart string pull .....
