40% Code at all resorts? What price did you get?

I scored a 2 bedroom villa @ SSR for the price of $318, not including tax. Booked for 8/20-8/29. :yay:

Hmmmm, I'm starting to lose hope about getting a code... I keep calling and calling but they never find anything. I seem to be getting good CMs too, and they are really searching. One guy was searning under every name in my family but alas, nothing...

I've been calling WDTC for WEEKS to ask about codes. I NEVER get postcards, e-mails, anything. EVER.

I called tonight and asked if there were "any discounts available" or if there was a code attached to my name or household that I could use to add to my existing ressie made for WL (standard) in August.

It took calling three times and speaking to three different CMs in one night :confused3 but I finally got us a 40% off room only code!!!!:cool1:

The 1st CM offered my husband what equaled to 30% off but then told him that we would have to change our view ("no standard available at this rate") and if we didn't take the deal now "it may not be there when we called back." DH said he needed to discuss the offer with me and would take his chances. He then hung up and I called back.

The 2nd CM told me that there were "no codes attached to our household AT ALL," and discouraged me from cancelling my existing ressie "just in case a code came through later." Before I could answer her, our call was disconnected and I was switched to the phone survey.

The 3rd CM, who turned out to be the charm, said, "Oh, yes, I do see a code here, why, it's for 40% off room only!":woohoo:

WL, Woods View, 2 adults, 1 child, $1687.50 for TEN nights, again, room only, so no tix, and no dining plan.
I WAS offered a package; still 40% off the room, but full price for tix and dining plan. I was told I could add these on later if I wanted to for $3363.07 total (Resort stay, 10-day base tix for 2 adults, 1 child, plus the DDP for all three).

My advice? KEEP CALLING! And, most importantly, if you feel uneasy about your CM, politely hang up with them and call back.

Third time was a charm for me, and I hope for you too!!!!!

That sounds like a great deal!

Im starting to get the impression that codes are being used at the discretion of the CM's.

Unfortunately, I would have to agree. I won't say much more about it, but I think my original post backs up what you're saying. I'm just grateful to have a code. There would be no trip this year if I didn't. That certainly wouldn't be the end of the world, as we are lucky to have gone many times, but it sure makes it a little brighter.

That is FANTASTIC!! Congrats! I am so happy to hear this, cause I asked if the Villas were included with discounts in a thread that many people looked, but did not get a YES answer that anyone actually got it with the current discounts. :yay:

I got the 40% off email about a month ago. It said it was good for booking through mid-February, if I remember correctly, so I saved it hoping that I could swing a trip. Finally, I decided to book but alas, it is no longer in my saved mail. I called CRO and the CM told me that the email codes are not attached to your name. I'm so dissapointed because I could really have used that 40% off. Any ideas???? :confused3

We are staying in a woods view room at WL Sept. 6-13, seven nights for $1,181.25, or about $168.00 a night.
We were so fortunate to get the 40% off code. I asked if we could buy our tickets and the DP, and she said that with our room only ressie, we could not buy the DP - if we did, we would not get the discount because it would be turned into a package, and the code does not apply to the package. It looks like lots of people are getting the 40% off and getting the DP as well. Am I missing something?

Call back. It's 40% off the room portion. I was able to book a package around the discounted room.

Yes, do call back. I was offered the package also, but only 40% off of room.

So guess what showed up in MY e-mail this morning? An e-mail from Disney Destinations with an offer for $99 per night for a value in November (when we registered at the Disney website we said we were interested in Nov.) OR 30% off during the dates we all know from these boards. It was a direct result of sending away for the DVD as it clearly stated it is on its way, but here's something for you to enjoy in the meantime.

What's interesting is that it was addressed to my husband and sent to MY e-mail address, not his. I guess Disney has figured us out and so I don't think it matters how many e-mail addresses you register, they end up linking them.

I just received a mailer for 40% off a select Disney value resort standard room. I've already booked our week in May using the 4/3 deal at Beach Club. We really want to try a deluxe resort this time and the 4/3 deal made this possible. So is the 40% offer of no use to us?

Note: TA told me the 4/3 deal is a little better than the 40% offer.

This is exactly what I was told the first time I called. I was pretty sure she was wrong, after reading here so much. So I called back later and the nice CM said, without me asking, that she could make the code into a package if I wanted.

I booked 5nights, Oct 25-30th, WL woods view for $2432, includes DDP and 4 day base tickets for 2 adults and 2 children(6 and 3). I wouldn't be going back this year without the 40% off deal.

Wow! We are being quoted $115.00 for pop at this point...praying for a code.

If your going during peak season thats the avg price. I got 3 night 4 days at Coronado with DDP 2 adults, 2 kids (9 & 3) for a little under $1600. When you go to the Disney main site look in the top right and click on special offers, go down to the escape winter deal and pick book a package. It would costs me just as much as booking a package in the values without the deal. There were deals still available at CBR but its a few $$'s more. I dont think there are any more deals for values though through this deal.

Your TA is correct, according to Mousesavers, with the 4/3 deal, the room rate is 43% off rack rate. Unless you were traveling for less than 7 days, the 3/4 is a great deal.:thumbsup2

I also got a package with the 40% code--the discount was on the room only but I was able to get the whole thing. I got CR, Tower Room, MK View for 5 nights, August 23rd - 28th for 3 adults, 2 children (16, 13), 5 day Park Hopper tickets, QSDP, taxes and insurance for $3996.85!!!

Polynesian - Garden View - Sept 15-22
2 Adults & 2 kids (6&7)
8 day park hopper
dining plan

Our last time at the Poly was about 3 years ago during free dining and we paid $4200.

We booked a package - hotel (ASMu preferred) and park tickets (MYW, 6-day) - and were able to use my 40% pin no problem (saves us just over $300). Of course, I have my fingers crossed VERY tightly for FD to be offered - that is a much better savings for my family than the room discount! I wish there was a "fingers crossed" smiley lol

Whoever was told that they couldn't use their pin on the hotel portion of a package - find another travel agent that knows what they're doing! :thumbsup2

Thank you, I feel much better. I just wish I could give someone else the 40% offer to use. :(
