4 yo, 21 months and dining plan

We are taking DD4 and DS21 months in April and have the dining plan and our ADRs all set up. How does feeding DS work? I keep hearing how large the portions are - will DD be able to share with DS and eat enough? At TS restaurants will DS be eligible for a kids meal of his own?

We are taking our 18 month old. I believe the dining just allows meals for my husband and I, since we are ticketed and ds is not. I'm planning to give my son some off our plates. However, I did notice that the kids meals at the counter service places looked to be around 3.99. We may end up doing that if he turns out to be a picky eater. I have a niece that went thru a phase of eating nothing but fried chicken strips.

On our last trip, we had DH, myself DS (age 4) and DD (1yo). At buffets, children under 3 eat free- we used almost all of our TS credits for those- character meals and Ohana. For CS credits- we ordered 3 adult meals (never had a problem with being asked to order from the Children's menu that I remember) and the kids split the food. Or DH and I would each share a bit from our meals with DD. We had so much food- we couldn't eat it all. I think we had 5 snack credits left the last day.

We took ds at 23 months and always had plenty of food for all of us. At the buffets they can get their own plate, everywhere else they eat off of yours. With the table service on the dining plan you get an appetizer PER PERSON, an entree, a drink and a desert. We always had leftover food.

I did always ask for a glass of milk for ds at the sitdown restaurants and was never charged.

We did this last fall and had no problem. A couple times we ordered our youngest (26 months at the time) a separate kids meal, but they were only 3.99 or 4.99. The rest of the time the four of us shared and had no problems.
