4 year old with a cast?

Will he still be able to ride anything that he's tall enough for? We don't yet know if he'll get a cast, should know in a couple days. He was too short for RSR last year, but now will be able to ride. Though he has no idea that we're even going to DL(we have decided to not tell our kids until we are AT DL), I would like to be prepared before we get there.


ETA: The cast would be on his elbow. When I re-read, it sounded, to me, as if I was saying a cast would make him tall enough.

You should be completely fine! As long as the cast doesn't inhibit his ability to put on the required safety belts then he is good to go (If I'm remembering correctly, RSR is the only ride that has the shoulder and lap belt; the other rides throughout the resort just have a lap belt). There shouldn't be a reason why he can't ride certain rides with an arm cast.


He may not be able to ride California Screaming because of the overhead restraint.

My son is older now but he broke his arm right before our trip when he was 6 years old. He had a cast that went up to his elbow and he was able to ride everything including california screamin. He had a blast and even got some signatures from the characters on it. Some said no but most signed it and we had prepared him ahead of time that they might not be able to sign it so he was ok with it. He still has it and he is 15 now. I did buy him a waterproof sleeve to go over it so he could go swimming but I was too paranoid about it leaking since we live in Maryland and flew out there I didn't know where we'd get it replaced. They grow so quick at that age - his arm was in and out of a cast in less than 4 weeks.
