4 year old - stroller or no stroller??

My son just turned four and our daughter is 20 months. We are bringing a Peg Perego Pliko stroller(very lightweight, has a reclining seat and folds like and umbrella stroller) and I am going to buy a Mia Moda umbrella stroller for about $139. It folds very compactly and has a travel bag. You can hang it on the big stroller and it reclines. I decided to do this instead of bringing the double stroller (Graco Duoglider) which I haven't used in months. I think that a 4 year old needs a place to relax as the day wears on.

last year, when he was 3 and baby was 8 months, we used the Duoglider.

thats awesome he likes to walk!!

I think though if going at it all day, he can snooze or rest his feet towards the end of the day.

My ds is also four and we will be taking our Peg Perego Pliko stroller. I wasn't going to, but, after reading allot of threads on here about, taking and not taking a stroller, we have decided we are ;)

I just sold a handful of strollers and have no intention of purchasing anymore. I'm going to bring the double umbrella stroller that I have and right after this trip it's for sale as well. Next year, we can always rent him a stroller in the park and if he needs a ride outside the parks, put him in the single umbrella stroller and carry his brother.

I've just had enough of having a different stroller for a different need. I've had 9 strollers in my son's 4 years!:)

I'm left with a Bugaboo Cameleon w/kiddie board and a Maclaren Quest. This is all I need.

A good friend of mine who's very caucious with money just gave me some great advice regarding strollers in WDW. With all the $$$$ you spend on the entire vacation, should your child need a stroller and you didn't bring one, just spend the $40 and buy the umbrella stroller in their gift shops. It's worth it. This is so true!!1

DD was just barely 5 on our first trip and we opted to bring the umbrella stroller. I'm really glad that we did, especially for the afternoon and evenings in the parks. If she felt like walking (ok, she HOPPED the whole trip :Pinkbounc :jumping3: ) we just threw the backpack or souvenir bags in the stroller instead of carrying them. I don't regret bringing the stroller at all and I know her little feet appreciated it.

DS is 4 and loves his lime green Mac. He has autism and he likes to pull down the sunshade when he doesn't want to be seen.

He could walk but loves to have us drive him in the parks. Also, in AK they don't allow the rentals on the train ride to the animal petting area.

Hope this helps, April
