The title says it all.

I say we need a 4 day park hopper. My parents say 3. Regardless of genie plus what say you lovely humans who have frequented the west coast.

It is also our first time going to DL.

Time of year will be end of august early September.

Thanks all.

I prefer 4 day as well, especially if you don't get g+ and/or are going during busy times, to give you more flexibility to adjust to crowds. I'm actually doing a 5-day this trip!

I would go for more days! You’re already paying for the park hopper and you won’t feel as pressured to do everything in 3 days. You can take your time.

Unless you have kids or people who absolutely hate standing in line and will not tolerate it, I would say save the money and do an extra/fourth day. Also, since you can do Genie+ some days and not others, maybe figure out how many Genie+ rides you want to do, and try to do as many as you can on the day/days you have Genie+. (I have not been since Genie+ started so if this is a horrible/impractical idea, someone can correct me).

Well I lost the battle hahaha! However we are planning two break days in our trip and we might use one to add on another ticket
FYI- you cannot 'add a day' to a ticket when you are there- you would need to buy an additional single day ticket and hope there are reservations available. It would be much cheaper to buy the 4 day tickets now if you think wanting to go an extra day is at all a possibility.

I'm doing a three day trip next week. 3 days is enough to get everything I want to do done, so when we're being cost conscious, 3 days is usually the move. However, I really like doing 4 days and using one day to not be attraction focused and just enjoy the park ambiance and food and play games on the parks app and all that jazz. In 2019 when we went, I got 4 day tickets - we were there for New Years, so very crowded. Rope dropped DL Magic Morning on the Saturday and went until park close, then slept in Sunday, went to church, and then went to the park in the afternoon to just play around in Galaxy's Edge, shop, pin trade, etc. Then rope dropped DCA on Monday and went hard all day, and then used the fourth day on New Year's Eve to have breakfast in the park and do re-rides and ring in 2020.

I did 5 days once and it felt like too much of a good thing, though I did have a toddler at the time. For me, 4 days is the sweet spot, with 3 being doable but a little stressful. YMMV.
