Can fit 4 with a small fifth child wouldn't you say? There are five of us. Two adults and three kids (14, 12 and 9) Hoping we can squeeze in and it will be adequate!

This question comes up from time to time.

Ed's answer is "butts in seats". As long as everyone is planted on a seat (3 in front or 3 in back), you're probably okay. No one sitting in another's lap because if the drives hits the brakes, too much momentum could send the lapper flying.

Questions also come up about infants. If they are held firmly by an adult in the front passenger's seat, okay. Infants are NOT to be held by the driver. (duh). Car seats should be bungeed/strapped/belted firmly into position if used.

I totally agree that safe transport definitely relates to having your own space to sit, and not "doubling up" at all.
