Going in May and am booking the package special that is out now. We have 4 people: me, 2 dd and grandma. Grandma would prefer to have her own room for more privacy and her own bed etc.... and she will pay the extra cost (rack rate at POP).

I priced 2 packages: 1 for her with room and tix and then the other for the 3 of us in the other room and tix and it came it WAY more expensive than just buying 1 package for all 4 of us in one room and paying rack for the extra room. :confused3

So the question: Can I buy the package with all our names and then also get just a room under my name also?

Okay, I just ran the numbers again and I guess it does work out okay. The Disney site was giving me some very strange package prices last night--much lower than actual costs.

But I would still like to know if I can do this?

Or, as an alternative, if there are rooms available how difficult would it be to get Grandma a room after we get there if we try staying together for 1 night and she hates it? Would be willing to move to a new room if they could give us connecting rooms. Anyone ever do this?

Hi, I currently have 2 rooms booked (with a letter guaranteeing connecting rooms!) DH and 2 DD are in one room on a package and me and DD are in the other room with tickets only. Me and DD have a AAA rate and even with the free upgrade available it is cheaper this way. Did you consider insurance on all 3 adults? I believe it is $60.00 per adult.

I am not sure I answered your question but the AAA rate made a big difference in the cost of our 2nd room.

good Luck!
