We visited all four main theme parks over 4 days last week.

At no time did we even see a Dream Team member. And, yes, we were at the opening of the parks on everyday. Maybe I looked right at them and didn't know what I was looking at.
Didn't see anyone with a Fast Passes (the ultimate ones), didn't see any of the special landyards everyone was talking about or anyone with the special pins, no ears either. Whenever we stopped for a show or parade I occassionally asked anyone if they had an "Dreams" fulfilled. I got a bunch of no's, haven't seen a thing sort of answers.

I not saying they weren't there, just saying the promotion was invisible to us.

I am not saying it effected our trip, we had a wonderful time. We didn't go because of the promotion, we went because we hadn't been there in 7 years and wanted to see Soarin, Mission to Mars, EE, etc. I am just sayng that over the course of 4 days, and being at the parks all day, we saw no evidence of it.

P.S., I still am of the opinion that the promotion would never have been approved by Uncle Walt since it gives an unfair speciality to only a very few visitors, Walt wanted the parks to be special for everyone. There is a post here where a little girl wants to win the night in the castle; well of course she does. I do hope it happens for her, but in reality, with thousands of visitors, and the prize handed out at random, the chances are really very slim and the little girl will likely be disappointed, or least, many, many other like her will be. I don't think this is what Walt would have been after. The parks themselves should be a strong enough attraction, Disney doesn't need to stoop to these promotions. Just my humble opinoin, please respect it.

My DH and I were there last March and May and never saw the Draem Team - both times for 9 days. We do the parks from opening to close to the latest close and never saw the Dream team.

PS I agree 100% about Uncle Walt - everyone should be treated special.

We have been there for over 40 days since YOMD has started, not ONCE have we been lucky enough to be presented by the team. Just today while waiting for the AK parade to start a wonderful couple next to us gave us their dream passes as they were leaving for the day. I just want to say how grateful I am to them, thank you. You don't always need Disney for your dreams:wizard:

What was the point of this thread if not to whine about it? It sounds like you spent too much time on your trip wondering about the promotion. I can't imagine asking people at the parade if anyone won anything, sorry.

I have been to WDW three times since the promo started and not seen any Dream Squad members. So what? We have had a great time! I think the promo is wonderful; how fun it would be to be chosen for a prize! Everyone gets a fair chance. Stop looking for a prize. If it's meant to be, it will happen! We don't even think about it while we are there.

I saw one family with the Dream Fast Passes

My DS7 and I won the lanyards with the special pins while waiting to
board the TOT- our whole group one them
I was about 11:30 am last Tuesday
I gave mine to my youngest son so both boys would have one

When we were there in September, we were waiting in line for Peter Pan's Flight and a girl (about 12yo) gave my DS4 one of her glow stick necklaces. It was so sweet and so unexpected! Things like that are the TRUE magical moments to us! :thumbsup2

Exactly!
On our last day, we had several snacks left on our Dining plan
I was talking to this really sweet lady from MA
and I was ordering popcorn for me and my crew

I ended up ordering sodas and gave them to her and her family to
enjoy :wizard:
I didn't want them to go to waste

that's how i feel too....walt wanted everyone to feel special in the parks...i read where some people had 2 and 3 wishes in one trip when we've been there and no luck 4 times since a year of a million dreams:sad2:

Seriously, I bet all the people who whine about this promotion wouldn't be if they were the ones who won dreams. :rotfl:

Flame away if you must, but I personally find your comments rude and somewhat judgemental/condescending. Please take the time to read the numerous preceding posts that clearly reference people going to the parks NOT expecting anything. Sure there are people who are disappointed to not see the Dream Squad or receive something, but there are even more people who are just plain thrilled to be fortunate enough to spend time at WDW period. To call people "whiners" is quite a gauche thing to say. Flame away.

Sorry, but what he/she said is true. People think it's the greatest thing if they win and the worst if they don't. Let me see you turn down a prize because you think it's unfair that not everyone gets one.

I have read these complaints over and over. I am not going to flame you, because obviously there are many people who feel the same. I understand the concept of a little girl wanting to win the night in the castle. She is young and does not understand how slight your chances are. HOPEFULLY she saw the commercial and her parents don't have her thinking she will win. My kids are 11 and 13 and still of the mentality if there is a contest they will win. :confused3 With the MANY MANY people who visit Disney in a single day, I would bet many more do not see the dream squad at all than those who do see them and then of course those who actually win is the smallest number of the 3 groups. Not saying you shouldn't state your observation and not saying I wouldn't love to see the Dream squad, just trying to put things into perspective a little.

The Dream Squad members don't appear unless you or someone near you is about to be given a dream. Not until they are ready to they come out with the vest. If they walked around with 'Dream Squad' plastered all over them, just imagine how overtaken by dreamers they would be and not be able to give those dreams away that Disney is promoting?
